Point of seasons in d4?

With no in game economy and no new content coming in with seasons, what exactly is the point? Money of course but I’m looking for a gamers perspective, this will probably be my last season but wanted to know what’s the appeal to yall

Right now… i played season 5 and stopped at level 15… im kind of pissed my previous builds are now sitting in Eternal, mostly obsolete.

It has Infernal Hordes
Tons of new uniques, revamped uniques, aspects, and stuff
and it has a story with the season

I play seasons because it forces me to come up with new builds, and I like the gameplay a lot in D4.
I like interacting with my friends and other players when everyone is excited, and things feel new.
I could play my Eternal characters from previous seasons, but that sounds extremely boring to me, and isn’t enough to bring me back.

I like the empty stash.

Honestly every season Since 2+3 has sucked - I know Blizzard wants to move away from borrowed powers - But DAMN the Vampire powers and Mechanical Pet were super cool to pair with your builds. Since then it’s been boring as all hell.

So I don’t really have any reason to play these type of seasons - the builds by themselves all kinda suck

Season format is created to take the players money every cycle while making the players think it’s a necessary feature. Oh wait…I mean…uhhhhh. I love seasons. I love Diablo 4. Diablo 4 should win GOTY this year. It’s so amazing!

To me it’s fun to try new builds on a fresh go-around

I like seasons because of the refreshed economy for trade. I don’t care about seasonal motifs or new mechanics. In fact, I’d rather do away with them because they get in the way, but I know most people enjoy them.

I will continue to monitor the state of my well-being by following the exact opposite thought patterns that you have laid out for me. Truly thanks for the examples you have placed in these forums.
