I have a level 88 druid and since lady luck is always on my side hitting me with a steel pan in the head i can’t find any unique for any build. I’m farming Echo of Varshan for getting the Vasily of the staff of crone. In the last 8 run i’ve dropped 7 penitent greaves and the remaining one 0 unique. Is there some kind of bug in the loot table?
There might be. There definitely is in WoW. It’s the AI botnet that sends you targeted adds based on things it hears from passively listening to your iphone.
Uniques do have different drop chances, so you might have just been unlucky.
correct me tho, from what i know varshan doesnt drop Penitent Greaves, thats for grigoire.
The generic loot for Varshan is Frostburn and Mother’s Embrace
so i wonder how the story of you getting 7 pentinent greaves from varshan works ^^
It’s not in the boosted unique table but it can drop. And that make this fact even more absurd
i personally didnt even know they can drop other uniques. well if they can, itll be most likely on a really low chance like when you do any other activity. if you arent overexaggerating and indeed got 7 pent greaves from varshan, id report it in the bug forum, if i was you.
there has been a bug once where druid loot was a bit messy actually. i think it was preseason tho.
If you’re looking for the crone staff, you should be farming zir, not varashan.
bad luck, and yea penitent greaves has a high drop rate compared to others.
vasily prayer is rather high too (though it’s still a class item so lower chance than penitent i believe)

they are still supposed to drop from grigoire, not varshan. thats the point here.
Can confirm I’ve had a pair of penitent greaves off Shan before.
So most likely op has had rotten luck. Most of my drops off Shan have been bad bloodless screams though

Penitent should be mainly Grigoire and lord-zir, maybe they can drop regular unique too (outside of the forced ones from their own loot table)
for the time being i only did varshan once on druid, got vasily prayer.

thats def weird then especially if so many dropped, because in theory, if theyd drop, it should be the regularly low drop chance.
Razor plate is absurdly low on zir from my experience, ran a bunch as a 4x group. Approx 10 runs. 2 razors.
They are not listed on the loot table, but i have had a pair drop……they were super low quality though.
I got 4 Razorplates and all of them came from nmd rewards
