I can’t stand opening the whole map (remove the fog) all over again on my 2nd, 3rd and maybe 4th character.
It’s terrible that we lose everything but the waypoints, so I can’t see where are the dungeons and strongholds I want to go on alts.
It’s fun and rewarding to discover everything on the first time but after it’s done, it must be done.
Forcing us to re-do everything for every character is insane.
Wait you seriously have to uncover the map again on a new character? Who thought this was a good idea? More and more nonsense like this is sticking out the more I play. I like D4 but this game needs work.
Agreed. I think once you’ve earned the achievement for fully uncovering all of the maps that the full map & all waypoints should be permanently discovered for the account.
As it is, I really have no interest in playing alts currently because of how incredibly unfun it is having to start at basically zero again on map progress.
Keeping the fog really is a decision that makes things just needlessly inconvenient for playing alts without any real benefit. We’ve already explored the map, it’s not like we retain the feeling of discovery the second or third time just because the map pretends we haven’t been there.
Right now on alt number two it is mildly annoying but whatever, but I know as I play more characters and as seasons start, this is going to get old VERY fast.
