They just leave no choice but to buy boss materials from Chinese dupers. The season isn’t long enough to farm a thousand materials by hand. They’d be better off removing boss materials altogether. It would encourage team play.
p.s. I meant materials for summoning Belial
You mean boss chest opening materials. They don’t summon bosses anymore, they open the chest when you defeat the bosses.
Yes, you understood me correctly.
All you have to do is play the game. You will have so much extra chest opening mats that you wont know what to do with them.
This is true for all of them but Belial. Idk what blizzard thought would happen with that one. Now what will happen when we don’t have an extra 80% chance to spawn him after a regular boss fight lol
The bigger issue isn’t the boss materials. It’s fine to have something locked behind the currency. The greater issue is you feeling the need to grind bosses thousands of times. That shouldn’t be the case. Boss loot being better would make it be way less of a grind and could still be locked behind a material. In a world without dupers, the playerbase wouldn’t even know what doing thousands of Duriel runs even feels like.
The player did the job – killed the boss. Isn’t that enough to get the loot? Why reward dupers?
You all will play longer and hopefully buy more things. Blizzard will show that to the shareholders and everyone will be happy.
These sentences back-to-back are f$*(ing surreal.
Mats are find but I would like then BOP in the materials tab. They drop in abundance so at this point leta remove RMT and duping with boss mats.
We will also get more inventory space back.
Seeing as how everyone had stacks and stacks of Belial by the first weekend I assume the dupers will run rampant again. This was the only season I went on the trade site and got mats because I wasn’t trying to do 1000 lesser bosses for 250-500 Belial mats lol
I actually had to come back because I can’t stop thinking about this.
You mean to tell me that you paid money for a game, then purposely paid more money and risked a ban from a game you paid money for, to buy in-game materials from a irreputable site so you can then access content in the game - content that you weren’t locked out of, content that no one f^&#ing enjoys - and run it over and over and over infinitely, having zero fun, just so you can get better versions of gear you already have so you can then … … … run this content more, but at 4 seconds per pull instead of 7 seconds per pull for the remaining 3 weeks before everything resets and then you … do it all again?!
Are you f#%^ing insane? Are you positively off your rocker? What other life decisions are you making? Can we do a case study or documentary on you or something?
How do you NOT have tons of boss mats? You get plenty of mats from UC, HT, just playing the game.
Honestly, I agree, I do not like the boss mat system on principle.
The choice to make the dungeons uber short and make the runs uber short and make the altar a constant loop was Blizzard’s. No other ARPG of any type, not just “Diablo-likes”, does this. Yes, you may have to pay for access to the dungeon, but never just access to the boss and certainly not access to the loot. ![]()
Let me clarify why this “feels” bad to me so there’s no misunderstanding. Paying to access X is fine. Paying to access Z after you get X and Y for free is dumb.
So for Lord Zir to pay to get into his layer? Cool.
To walk into his layer for free and walk up to the altar and pay? Meh.
To walk into his layer for free, summon him for free, kill him for free but pay for the rewards? That’s just goofy.
The bosses should be harder to get to and harder to fight and they should be unlocked individually through higher Torments.
Why reward dupers?
Blizzard is taking a cut from the dupers. If they really wanted to stop it they would. This is their MTX. The store is just a cover for them.
Level a build with good farming capabilities and go into Helltides. Of course, you will need to spend of few hours there but you will get your 1K Blood and 1K Steel. Switch to a build that can efficiently kill Bosses and do Zir and Grigoire. You will get a decent amount of Husk for Belial… or not, chance for apparitions seems quite inconsistent. Do Zir and Grigoire in T3. You will get probably more Husks.
I bought the materials with in-game currency at the auction house. Are you questioning the existence of a dupe?
The player did the job – killed the boss. Isn’t that enough to get the loot? Why reward dupers?
Because you could just Infinitely doing bosses.
Take a Tier-1 boss, they only take 20 seconds between summonings, maybe take a boss with lots of room in a corner to put unwanted loot and you could kill a boss 180 times per hour, getting maybe 2 Mythics per hour and some good uniques to sell.
Normally the boss is the reward for collecting the materials before.
The boss should be a bit of a challenge, but not too extreme and doable many times. And doing the boss should take much less time than collecting the mats.
Even having the boss in a 10 minute dungeon will not make bosses better, it’s just about what players moan about, the long boss fight or the long way to the boss fight.
In season 8 you could do the boss a few times in a row when you got the whisper quest, just to fill your inventory once. That’s about 50 (48 for 4 kills) materials you could use per whisper, without boss runs getting too boring.
The only real problem is the duping of Belial mats, because summoning him should be very rare, maybe every 5 to 10 boss runs.
(sometimes his smaller version drops 2 mats)
And if Blizzard cannot handle the dupers, they should put boss materials, especially Belial mats, in the materials tab.
Are you questioning the existence of a dupe?
I’m questioning your sanity.
