Hello Blizzard-staff and fellow Diablo fans!
I´m writing to you as an old and true Diablo fan/gamer. I have played Diablo since the first game hit the shelfs in stores back when it was not possible to simply push a button to download the game then play almoust right away. Some of you where pharhaps not even born get then.
Diablo I - II was just simply brilliant and mindblowing, and still are! Diablo gives you a true sence of evil, darknes, feer and dispare when the they tell the story when the deamons of hell visit us mortals.
These games was so well written, directed and created whit those mindblowing cinematics, voiceacting, story, graphics och game physics that it is still a game title very difficult to beat to this day!
Diablo II Resurected did actuelly blow my mind AGAIN! Whit a title i already played before. It is so well made that i feels like a whole new awsome title of the game.
But before then, The long waited Diablo III blessed us one´s more after all those years. BUT…
When i first begain playing the third title, after actually i cried of happines, i started to gradly stop smilying after a few houers game play. The DARK, SCARY and THEETHGRINDING game i fell in love whit all those years ago was not the same. Instad i was in a rather cartoonish world with a lack of thath awsome havy feeling i learned to love in the previos games now was not there any more. Instead i got the feeling the Diablo characters and story was inplanted in World of Warcraft. I played the whole story/campain any how, but to never do it again.
Don´t get me wrong! Diablo III is a damned good game and well balaced, with really good cinematics and awsome gamephysics that makes you addicted to play in multiplayer with your friends for hundered´s of houers.
But it does not feel the same…
SO! Diablo IV is almoust here and i can´t wait to fall in love again.
But… When i was playing the beta i recognized one disturbing detail that i have seen ones before. Benithe all those special effects and 4K textures is the same game engine that bugged me in Diablo III. This makes me nervous and that Blizzard have made the same hartbreaking misstake again… or have they? I sincerely hope not this is tha case. The 6th of Jun we will know.

Agreed, but I think D4 represents the Diablo spirit better than 3 did! Gameplay videos look pretty grim and brutal so far, thank Lilith. Not WoW-y like D3, imo.
Exactley! The havy darkness is there and thrilling mindblowing cinamatics just blow me away! There is mush so more feel of the Diablo sole in this title then in Diablo III
Unfortunately, looks like we’re getting Leah 2.0. And she will be the main character. We will be side characters that help her on her strong and independent journey to save the world.
Basically if there are any women or girls in the game the incels gonna incel.
OP not making any sense. Says despite not being evil and dark enough Diablo III is good, well balanced, really good cinematics, awesome gameplay physics. But worried that D4 has the same game engine?
I am playing through D2 now and I do not get the obsession at all. It is a fine game, great cinematics and story. I can see it would have been good for the time but nothing about it compares to what we have seen so far in D4. Like what are people actually upset about?
Grr, where is this being said? A google of Diablo 4 leah isnt pulling anything… something about a new woman in Act 1? Do we know how big of a part she’ll play? Would be sillly to sideline our chars…
Diablo 1 and 2 I never yearned for as a child and I found them severly lacking in wonder compared with early titles from the mmorpg genre (before WoW), games such as the Command & Conquer series and the ps1 era simple overshadowed most PC gaming.
Diablo 4 actually looks like a good game for a change and it’s not surprising that people who were heavily involved with the previous installments have doubts because simply put, you struggle to know what good gaming qualities are.
I’m 100% serious. I even said in that post, he wants a “DARKER” Diablo like Diablo 1… but you ignored that it seems. Just because D3 looks different doesn’t make it less of a Diablo game.
That’s a shocker lol. Diablo 4 doesn’t need to look like diablo 1 or diablo 2 for me, it should just be able to bring some grim atmosphere with it which Diablo 3 totaly failed at it with its childish wow comic style. Come one Deckard Cain got killed by a purple butterfly I think this says it all ^^
Oh, in no way shape or form will I ever defend D3’s story, I’ve been attacking it every chance I get… while I prefer Diablo 1’s grim, dark and messed up vibes to D3, it still had imo the best gameplay of franchise til 4
I’m still mad about Deckard Cain dying to the butterfly lady… if you’re gonna kill someone like Cain, bro… Diablo or something has to do it! The act 2 prince was obviously the next big boss of the act… it was just given away, Azmodan was cool… until he talked and talked and failed and talked and then failed again. Act 4 was the only redeemable act. Then the expansion with Malthiel being the big bad there… no build up, just oh… here he is… instead of Imperius which would have been fun.
Don’t worry, I mean everyone to his own taste, I was just surprised that people liked the graphics of diablo 3 so much, I personally couldn’t stand the comic style which made it looking a bit for kids in my opinion.
Yea I wish that Deckard Cain would have gotten a more honorable death, the way he died just left me a bit speechless lol, but this can’t be undone anymore what’s done is done.
I find the diablo 4 graphics are ok, I am personally for a more realistic graphic style but I can live with how it is looking right now, I was expecting something much worse
It is sad to see people throw gender in the mix but regardless, characters like Leah and Neyrelle really are overly forced and make the whole plot feel like an escort mission, as opposed to a rewarding achievement for the player. The player doing literally all the work only for a poorly developed character, that most just don’t care about, to be needed, to save the day, isn’t good writing.
5 Diablo games. Last three are similar. First is stand alone and 2nd is it’s own thing. Seems like “real” Diablo IS the III, Imm, and IV. So you got your wish.
