Hey all, new to Diablo universe and just purchased Diablo 4 + Vessel of Hatred…i expected to be able to play with the original characters (knights, wizards, all the other normal characters and stuff) and all i have the option to choose is the Vessel of Hatred Myan style characters and stuff. I am able to play the main campaign with those characters, but i wanted the experice of the original game, spells, characters, all the original stuff the game had on release. Am i not able to do this with D4 Expansion i purchased? Thanks again all, just warming up to the Diablo universe and its dope, but just want the orginal game if possible.
all the classes that were released with the base game are still playable. Upon character creation you just have to pick your desired class. The choices are Rogue, Barbarian, Necromancer, Sorcerer and Druid. Vessel of Hatred added the Spiritborn.

The original game is still there, it’s all just covered by VoH green. Green logo, login screen etc but as stated above you can pick any class and play any content.

I’m not sure I get what you’re saying. As another poster pointed out, there is no Knights or Wizards in Diablo 4, not yet.
As far as everything else you mentionned, it’s all possible. Maybe you selected the first character class it preselected for you when you created a new character (which I think would be Spiritborn), but the interfact isn’t that hard to navigate around.
As soon as you hit the “Create new character” button on top of your selection screen, you should see that screen appear and you can switch between the 6 classes there. There’s 6 circles with a distinct icon for each class and a class name under it.

Okay, noted!! You all rock so hard. I guess i just expected there to be more traditional characters as opposed to a whole DoH Myan type of format. Good looks, much thanks from Minnesota!
