Please hear me out

Preach that bleep Vic1ouS !

clears throat
People are just spooked, they’ll get to torment 4… instead of getting to torment for within 3-5 days, maybe it’ll take them…

 1 week?
1 week out of 3 months? LOL

I agree OP. Season 8 is literally just 2-3x the time investment for the same end result. The people framing that as a good thing are just people who have way too much time on their hands. More time for the same thing is not fun or exciting. New content, QoL and build balancing is. It’s as simple as that.

SUBJECTIVE, Sir.

Fun is Subjective.

Personally I think more time for the same thing is better then “fast time” for the same thing.
Playing the season takes a bit more time. I’m not DONE with the season within 1 week. I can grind/loot hunt and feel excited over the gear I find " eventually " then quickly finding it and fast pacing to the end goal within a Few days.

Another nice opinion. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

You’re proving my point about having too much time on your hands. You have 2500 posts on this forum and finish a season “in a week”. I am busy so naturally I don’t play 10 hours a day. I also make 3-5 builds a season and grind one of those builds in the pits each season. I just stopped playing S7 last week. So isn’t it subjective for you to have enough time to do that all in 7 days vs someone who can easily get 7-8 weeks out of it? Artificially extending playtime for the same result is objectively worse for the majority of the player base who have normal amounts of free time.

I’m a fan of D 4. I’ve been coming to these forums since D 4 came out.
So… I’m sorry? Though that’s a weak angle to point out.
Season 7 Could be finished in a week , especially if you know what your doing.

The game doesn’t cater to You or me. I’m a 42 year old black man who lives by himself, I have a Car, a Job, 2 cats and 1 dog. My life is busy as well, but I can “MANAGE” my time. Some people can, some people Can’t.
That in itself is No explicit good reason to say anyone has “too much time on their hands” Who the Explicit are you to decide that? :rage:

So ?

I’m still playing Season 7 …? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

It’s not subjective because it’s " Me ". I’m not talking about the Time being subjective, YOU and I are talking about Diablo 4 being " FUN " . FUN being the keyword “Subjective”.

YOU Don’t know that. Yes, some people hate it, however some people DO.
I don’t mind my play time on Diablo 4 to be extended.
But I have the option to play multiple classes anyway, regardless of my time.

Just cause You don’t have the time, doesn’t mean the game should cater to you.

Get, Over, Yourself.

The game should cater to everyone. It’s good customer service.

“Please hear me out”… Nah.

This take is pathetic. You bring shame upon your family.

Yes WH40K miniture model makers should really be concerned about how I feel about that because I have no time for that hobby.

Know your audience.

I disagree. If it takes longer, not everyone will have it. Today, everything is too easy. Ancient items quickly become useless and only 2 GA items are imported, which don’t add much to the end of the game. It soon becomes monotonous and boring.

  • Drops should be special. I’m casual and if I don’t reach T4, that’s fine. But I want to receive an item and feel that it is important.

I’ll be honest, I don’t think work gets in the way of the grind. I have a job myself and I’ve managed to do way too much this season, considering how easy it’s been.
I’d say, unless you spend all your free time doing something else, it’s hard to have problems with Diablo 4.
Next season, in my humble opinion (based solely on users feedback), won’t be that complicated. They’ve slowed down a bit, nothing more.
Maybe I’m wrong and we’ll all end up in Torment 3, naked with glyphs at level 35, but I really don’t think that’s going to happen :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Your takes are scum which brings actual shame to your family. Meanwhile I’m just talking about the game and not one’s family.

When I said the game should cater to everyone, I mean within the scope of people who play Diablo not everyone as in even Candy Crush mobile enjoyers. I thought that would be obvious to anyone reading it but apparently people like you lack reading comprehension. And YOU are the one talking about bringing shame to my family?!? LOL!!

It’s rich coming from a filthy copy/paster. How many builds did you steal, dirtbag?

I hit the mark on the ‘bringing shame to your family’, didnt i?

[A wild giant wall of text appeared!]

I’m a better person than you by every conceivable metric.

Your standards are either unreasonable or hard to pin down. You’re implying here that your goal is essentially to advance six characters, not 1. If that’s a misunderstanding, let me know.

Given that you framed your argument as “make or break”, I think this matters. Is it that you don’t see yourself continuing if you can’t advance things on six characters? Or one?

You can see here the basic dilemma for a dev: which of these drastically different goals should they be catering to? I’d say, at least make that clear to them.

Second, if the next season’s grind limits you to fewer ‘advanced’ chars - let’s say one char… should the devs view this as sufficient across the player base? What’s reasonable & why?

DMT you said exactly where I was going with this in way less words. Thanks for framing this up you said it way better than the way I put it.
