Just bought a standard edition for myself and my wife after playing the beta, it was convincing that this will be a great game.
One flaw is the lack of PC couch co up, if you have two copies of the game on PC, why can’t you play it with your significant other in the living room? You can stream your PC to your TV these days with Moonlight or plug in an HDMI cable and use controllers.
What’s the big deal? Come on Blizzard, please make PC couch op happen man!
It would be a little difficult to implement because you’d have to be on two accounts at once. Unless they made an offline mode, and that doesn’t seem like it’ll be the case, at least not for now. I hate seeing online games die, and that’ll happen in the future for this game—if changes aren’t made.
get your wife her own computer/monitor and setup a permanent tiny lan party with the wife.

Yes it seems an account problem kind of thing, but playing on a single screen would be for sure a nice way to change things up, a bit more intimate than each person hunched over their PC in different corners of the same room or different rooms haha…
I’m actually contemplating a PS5 and paying $100 for a year of PS Plus extra. Basically This saves 1 copy of D4 ($70), and gives access to many PS exclusives I want to play. AND you can paly co-op D4 on the PS5.

For people saying it’s a technical problem… it’s a blizzard game and a blizzard platform on PC, so I’m sure they can find a solution since there’s no steam/origin to worry about.
The launcher simply can not allow two accounts logged on at the same time. There is no possible way this would ever work.
Blizzard would have to make their own launcher and then, sure, simply click a button to allow that to happen.
Making their own launcher would be too difficult and or cost productive though.
I know. I was really hoping that I could play side by side with my daughter and teacher her about the itemization, but sadly, PCs just aren’t as strong or capable as consoles anyways.
that is why I say offline session, I don´t even want to have 2 accounts logged at the same time, I want to play offline session, with characters locked for that session. It´s more sales issue rather than technical in my opinion. I don´t understand your sentence about consoles being better…it´s just media player with GPU, you can´t really compare it to pc. but that´s another topic.
It is their own launcher though. They can do it.
Offline play is not gonna happen to prevent piracy. Like with D3.

I like like this game…but I want to play it with my wife, on my couch, with one PC. Is that too much to ask? Uninstalling until that is a possibility.
