Please give us back the option to craft the Mythic Unique we want with just 4 Resplendent Sparks like before. Now, that the seasonal reputation track with resplendent spark reward will be back for s7, it will keep players in the game for longer like s4 and s5. Not all of us want to grind to find all the needed runes and if you didn’t get the voh expansion, the rng gamba option in the base game is brutal. Getting those 4 sparks will give us a reason to keep getting headrotten (sic) all season. Does anyone agree or miss this crafting option?

I totally agree, I didn’t buy the expansion and have found exactly zero runes so far.

I agree. they should allow for all thee stems to give players more autonomy. the random cache system with 2 sparks. the 4 spark but chose which one you want, or the two sparks and a bunch of runes. I think having three different systems will make everyone happy. choosing one over the other will please some people while make others mad.

Iuno, i kinda like the current system, only thing that bugs me is the rune gambling. I wish there was an upgrade hierarchy like in d2.

I kinda like the current system as well, but gad dayum SIX of each runes is a bit much. At the very least, drop the legendary one to 2, rare to 4, and keep magic one at 6.
Or yea, get rid of the RNG nonsense of “upgrading” runes. Just another layer of absolute rage-inducing RNG, which this game has enough of already.

I’ll rewatch it again, but I’m fairly certain they didn’t even say that much. I was waiting for them to say it, to see if we could farm sparks again on alts through the rep system, but I don’t think he actually mentioned the rewards for capping out. The devil is in the details. Also why I didn’t note it in my IggiNotes post.
I was wrong, Dan himself did say the resplendent sparks would be making a comeback to the Rep grind, and will be the last reward you get. He did not mention the recipe to make mythics though.
Although my response was mostly to the notion that I believe your response was regarding them bringing back the 4 sparks = 1 specific mythic. Which I’ve advocated for ever since I made my review. I hope they bring it back, but nothing official has been mentioned that I know of.

Nope, I was wrong, you were right, let me edit that. I rewatched it just in case as I do like to be accurate, even against myself, Dan did say and I quote:

Now if we can just get them to sign off on bringing back the 4 sparks = 1 specific mythic unique we’ll be good.

Totally agree. Season 4 was the most fun and longest played season for me.

oh i missed that too. I mean, i didnt really depend on that before, but i also see no reason why it was removed. Its for sure a failsafe way for the people who claim to have farmed 10000 bosses without ever seeing a mythic.

After playing half of the season, I must admit that I am happy with the way Blizz managed the mythics access. With the tribute of ascendance that gave me about 80% success, higher drop rate from Bosses, and rune crafting, I have found all the mythics I wanted to experiment.
Overall, it is about 20 mythics that I got so far.
I don’t enjoy the RNG around the 2 sparks for 1 mythic, but someone may like it. Who knows.
Anyway, overall I am very satisfied of the way they revised their approach to the mythics. Good Job Blizz.
The gamble paid off for me. Got 1x The Grandfather & 1x Tyrael’s Might from the Mythic Caches I made yesterday. Still have enough for one more but am saving those for when I get the last two Jah runes I need to craft a Doombringer for my Spirit Wave Necro. I actually solo’d Wandering Death the other night using my Spirit Wave Necro on Eternal Realm. Took me about 10 mins to take him out all by my lonesome but I got the job done. Already completed Season 6 with my Overpower Quill Volley Spiritborn & am busy leveling my Spirit Wave Necro while gathering items for my upcoming Mighty Throw Barb build I intend to play with. That’s where my recently-acquired Grandfather/Tyrael’s Might come into play alongside the 2GA Lochran’s Talisman (Infernal Hordes) & Harlequin Crest I got from Grigoire a few days ago. It’s been a great season for me & the Mythics have been raining down for me mostly from Tormented Varshan. Tormented Duriel & Tormented Andariel have yielded very little for me when it comes to Mythics despite them supposedly having elevated drop rates for Mythic Uniques.
I didn’t get my first Mythic drop until Season 4. Ended up getting 2x Mythics via drops that season with a RIng of Starless Skies dropping from a random enemy in Ghoa Ruins & an Andariel’s Visage from Varshan (non-Tormented). The ability to craft Mythics using 4x Resplendant Sparks was a godsend. It should never have been removed in the first place.

Every round of Undercity run with tribute give you 4 runes. You can either trade or RNG craft the runes if you are not getting the one you need. Grinding is always part of the game.
Now I have 10 times the runes I need than the sparks I have. After I have crafted 10 Heir of perdition, 10 Shako and 5 Shroud of False Death. I wish I can trade my runes with your excess sparks.
I am not a fan of grinding alts for sparks.
way to go! all i got was an unusable Nesekem after leveling up 4 spiritborn (quill volley, stinger/toxic skin, crushing hands, and touch of death) to t4. you should get a lottery ticket. lol
