PLEASE give Druids a thinner body option

I dont mind that each class has their own vibe. Druid being fat is a huge topic but I don’t see a huge topic about how the necromancer is anorexic. Each class seems to have their own flare.

Hmm… yeah Diablo immortal p2w. you need 16k USD to make a perfect gem. Thats a GREAT way to go.

And what does the gem p2w stuff have to do with clearly better character options?

Hmm…

More customization options… on a p2w game that is said to be free to play… GEEEE i wonder. Praise the game where it costs you 16k USD (REAL LIFE CURRENCY) to max out a gem.

Again, being “bigger” is fine. The D4 Druid is not “big”, he is morbidly obese. That’s not making fun of it, that’s a serious medical problem. That’s not just “a different body-type”, that’s something that can only come from an excess of eating or drinking, or an extremely sedentary lifestyle.

People want to play characters with aspirational qualities. Blizzard found immense success in the 90’s and early 2000’s using “rule of cool” in their character designs. D4’s Druid veers way too firmly into overweight, obese territory. He does not look like the character class he is meant to be portraying, which is a character who spends most if not all of his life in the wilderness.

One could argue that such a body would be more appropriate for the Sorcerer, a class that relies on magic to solve problems. But again, we all know people wouldn’t like that, because of the reasons outlined above.

People want their characters to be cool, to be things they might aspire to be. Being large is one thing; having literal rolls of fat on their face and body is quite another.

You don’t know what morbidly obese is. Your arguments are garbage. Do us all a favour and stop posting.

Whens the last time… you saw a morbidly obese person… running around…

Let alone taking and turning into a huge werewolf? or a huge bear.
I guess according you to. Maui from Moana is fat too?

People here talking about how it’s setting a bad example… for people to think this body isnt fine because they are saying “Fat people are encouraged to be big” but… by that logic… wouldnt that druid being shown to run around… be more incentive to make them run? I mean if you see it in game… you must do it outside of game, right? Thats… same logic they used in the 90’s for violence… right?

Do a search for “diablo 4 druid creation”. Look up a video or picture that shows them not wearing armor.

By all means, tell me that looks like a perfectly healthy weight.

Again, you have no idea what morbidly obese actually looks like. Get a clue and stop posting on the forum.

If you think these characters are simply obese you live a comfortable life that would give you that perception. Just like whales aren’t “fat” because they’re gluttons, there are places and times in history in the world where having a layer of fat keeps/kept humans alive.

But I don’t expect anyone here who’s calling them “obese” and “gluttons” to have the ability to see past their own noses so I’m sure you’ll have a witty retort.

+1 I need my druid hitting the gym… eating meat and greens… not just candy bars, chips and soda.

Light weight baby!!!

Yes! Maui is fat. The movie demonstrates this.

Oh? How so? Does his skin wiggle? (seriously… couldnt put a J infront of that word…) I think not.

https://mediachomp.com/maui-from-moana-is-not-obese-male-body-image-post/ read this. Maybe get a understanding all big boys aint obese, and not all muscle men are defined in the muscle department.

The Druid’s belly sticks out significantly further than his chest. They also have a double-chin, a roll of fat on the back of their head, and pretty chubby faces.

They just need to scale it back. They can be “big”, without being obese. But what they currently are, is obese.

You’d clearly benefit from my post… right above yours…

Side note… Whens the last time you seen some obese person, out running, slaying demons and transforming into a werewolf?

I agree but I do understand why they’re big. They’re shapeshifters, the need more body mass

No, you don’t.
They didn’t need it in D2, which is like 70 years ago in-world.

Or in Van Helsing movie (and that’s not the only one).

We have clueless ppl arguing about druids being related to barbs …but they conveniently forget that D2 druid existed and that you can be…linked enough (genetically) and still live a completely different type of life.

I’'m still waiting for the druid town to be filled with only average or slim NPCs so I can laugh even harder at how ‘political’ this design choice was.

Extra fun fact…take a look at the shapeshifting animation in the last 40s druid trailer on official channel…and watch it in 0.5 speed or pause 2-3 times during the horse dismount skill. LMAO about animations having to fit ‘apologists’ and ‘it’s hard work to change it’ crowd.

Not to mention the bear form feet (entirely separate issue)…which was likely genuinely laziness about animating a different base skeleton.

I like to role play old fat Karen :+1:
