The one where the thing follows you around and creates a barrier so you dont die to the lightning strike.
It falls behind, any little bit of lag can make it spawn literally further away than you can get back to it, it stops all forward momentum to make you stand still for 5-6 seconds which feels terrible, and then in certain fights it just makes things horrible where constant movement is what you want to be doing, but now i have to stand in this area to not die.
The one with the rock following you around that creates a nova when you get close to it is this actually done well, you can play around it, it rewards constantly moving forward, its actually interesting. Why in gods name make such a horrible version of it.

I didn’t have any problem with it.
Maybe you should just learn to play a bit better? It’s really not that hard to get inside the bubble before the lightning strikes is it?
Just another unfun gimmick to slow people down. But really, what is D4 without unfun gimmicks?

I am not a fan of it either. Kills momentum of play vs the red dookie which is tactical and fun to play around.

I didnt say it was difficult, however if you get any kind of lag you actually cant get into it at times. What i said was it disrupts the flow of the game, feels crappy, and makes things that could be fun really crappy because of limiting movement. Maybe some reading comprehension for you might be a benefit?
It’s not a skill issue about the bubble lightning strike, it’s just deliberately not enjoyable and very anti-Diablo to be forced to slow down
Typically, many builds are able to stomach the lightning hit and avoid the mechanic altogether. This isn’t really possible anymore after T60 where the strength of the lightning will surpass current gear accessibility, so again, you are forced to slow down or get one shot

Love way better cold enchanted than that dome or explosions on death or the flying things that explodes when reaching you and death pulse all bad
No I read what you said. I just don’t agree. It’s not a big deal.
My favourite type of enemies are also cold enchanted elite enemies with protective shield that comes in large groups.
I quickly jump at them so im under the shield, activate my rain of arrows… run away like a chicken and collect loot when the rain is over.
The lightning dome affix is visually well done and the sound ist very impactful especially while played via home cinema. But i also find it annoying. It just slows done.
I salvage those myself to be honest.
I still don’t know why they brought Mythic+ affixes from WoW to D4, nobody likes them in WoW lol.
That thing is more of an annoyance. You have to be at a specific spot (inside the dome) or you might get one-shot (eg, squishy sorc). Other things like the volcanic thing you can move away from.
Forces group members to be together.
If you’re fighting a bunch of mobs or a boss, you shouldn’t have to stop everything and race towards that dome. Like someone said it slows your momentum. Ex. The boss is nearly dead. The lightning thing comes up and you have to stop the boss encounter or risk dying (resetting the boss). Again this applies more to the squishy classes.
I salvage both Lightning Storm and Stormbane’s Wrath Sigils. I think Stormbane’s wrath slows down my runs more often, especially in NMs where I have to clear all enemies and during boss fights; it always seems to stay right in the middle of the pack of enemies, so I find myself tagging, running, rinse, repeat.
Side Note: Resource Burn affix is the worst slowdown in any NMs.
Don’t mind it most of the time, but it gets really annoying when you have to do a massive backtrack because the final macguffian is miles away from the boss room. Having to stop a half dozen times while running back and wait for the lightning is boring.

Instant salvage to me.
Only because it makes dungeons take twice as long as any other affix in that spot. Other than that, none are really hard to deal with.
I salvage anything that chases me or slows me down. I ain’t got time for that.
The problem with a lot of affixes is they don’t add much difficulty but simply make the run annoying.

Ditch the TRS80 , then it wont be so bad
They tried to come up with interesting stats and affixes . They just failed
uh yeah. Play in a party and u see it going back and forth between players deciding who is the nicer guy. Then it spawns the dome in the middle and everyone dies.
