Please Delete Helltide

Please remove Helltide from the game. It’s only work and no fun. Or remove all the useful things one needs from Helltide.

Rinse repeat. Twas always the way for up to 24.

Yep: it is like no one has ever played diablo before.

These posts requesting ridiculous garbage are getting tiresome.

Always tormenting people… yh she sucks too. A right gobbler. Talk about uncalled for!

KInda like the moronic “get good” posts when it has absolutely nothing to do with skill. Considering a complete idiot can play this game and get bored with poor design. I have a new response for you, “get smarter”.

Helltides as a concept is quite fine tbh. Definitely should not be removed.
But it should offer similar difficulty to NMDs. As should all endgame activities.
There should also be more stuff going on in them, more random spawns, stuff to find etc.
Could also be neat if each zone had their own version of Helltide, instead of just copy pasta. With different themes, and stuff to do.

Blood Harvest kinda showed how you could have different takes on the concept, and that should be the way forward. Keep Blood Harvest around as the new Helltide in one of the zones basically.

lol, making helltide mandatory for Living Steel will have this effect on people.

People just have fomo… ive killed duriel like 5 times and now i just dont care any more. He only has uber uniques to offer and honestly i can live without them. The only 2 i want are doombringer and harlequin crest. Thd others i probably wont use. i guess. The rest of his items i either already have or dont care about.

Just have the game play itself so you will never be put out by having to do something.

I am doing what i did since D1. Praise the light!

You could have just stopped there.

That portion right there is because of people saying the game is too difficult, not enough xp, or dumb ideas like “deleting helltide”.

Only a complete buffoon cannot go into helltide for 30 minutes and not open a steel chest, mystery chest and a couple others. 30 MINUTES of play time will yield results. Then maybe just move onto something else. So ya….it does have to do with skill.

It seems the only “smart” ones are the ones who just dont complain and play the game.

You should just uninstall the game and stop crying. Maybe pick up knitting or something that you can use to deal with all the inner rage and judgement you feel

This is where the “get smarter” part comes in. First you need to read and understand what the OP was saying:

It does not once say it was to hard. It says what most people with half a brain can see, that it is a boring event with ridiculously gated materials for a 1 minute boss fight. The event is not creative and not enjoyable and being forced to do it for your 1.5 attempts at a boss is not entertainment. It is a chore and a way to make the small minded waste time in the game so they can have better metrics. The “smart” ones are the ones who are not shilling for Blizzard(like yourself is currently doing) and can actually see what the problems are in the game instead of praising the multi-billion dollar AAA studio for the meager copy/paste scraps of poor design that you sit here cheering for. You are like a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader cheering for a high school football team, complete overkill and they are 100% definitely not deserving of the level of praise. Players like you who are happy with laziness and mediocrity are half the reason the gaming industry is falling apart and they keep getting lazier and lazier. As I said, “Get Smarter”.

Hell tide is as good as is. But the living steel is a bit too ridiculous, only dropping steels and elixirs for 300 cinders….

Or make helltides feel like helltides.

I see no tide and it’s mobs that live true hell.

Not too long ago helltide were generally seen as fun and rewarding. That opinion has shifted for good reason (especially in seasonal where it really feels chore like), but I’d imagine they are simply a few tweaks away from making it a good mechanic again. Here’s hoping.

My question is, what useful things.
The souls we need for enchanting/ upgrading?
The steel shards for Uber?
The chests with legendaries?
The exp from mobs?
All of the above?

Steel from 300 chest, I can get the gripe, there’s people who almost get there, then get nuked, however that’s what the devs thought up. If it went 75% for a steel on a mystery, and then 30% for steels on the rest of the chests, would that make it any less of a chore? Probably not, as there’s people complaining about souls, which drop from those chests too.
It’s not a matter of “getting good”, it’s a matter of some players in the playerbase expecting easy handouts. We’ve had the whole duped Uber materials debacle because bliz created a market for it, and as with any game, there are people who are impatient enough to pay their way to get what they want (elder scrolls online has a great example of that in numerous cases, where people pay exhorbitant amounts of gold, up to 20 million for some of the carry runs, or real cash on the side……)
If they removed all the good stuff from helltides, then there’s nothing to run the helltides for.

Last season I got enough forgotten souls from salvaging legendary weapons that I THANKFULLY wasn’t forced to enter the HT ever.

This season, they nerfed it and added the f**in living steel.

HT is a CHORE, it’s homework, it’s that annoying task you have to do cause there’s no way around it.

It offers little benefit, it’s not particularly fun and most of all, every corner of it just seems to be designed with one thing in mind: to annoy you as much as possible.

Helltides need a serious rework. I’m pretty sure it would be a lot better if HT rotated the same way the vampire harvest does.

(But at the same time: forget about ANYTHING that is unique to the HT. That just forces people to do that, which is ALWAYS going to have a much more sour taste in their mouths as opposed to when they do it on free will.)

…and the living steel requirement is ridiculous. I have to farm 2 full helltides and all the chests… to get the opportunity to kill uber duriel once?

Damn, I know people were complaining about there not being enough things to do, but this is not the way. This is just arbitrarily slowing you down, not giving you more to do

Helltides are fun unless they are forced. They are now forced, and I don’t even mean living steel, I don’t really care about that, but the souls for enchanting and upgrading. Last season I went to helltides only occasionally, mostly because I enjoyed running around and wiping demons in the open world. The only thing gating my enchantments was gold (trading was too tiring) and I never had problems with upgrading.
Now I found myself really confused when on 60lvl I couldn’t get any of my ancestrals to last upgrade level, not to mention the enchanting. After 60 levels of salvaging every drop I had. Then I played some more and at 70 I had like 1 soul. Then I realized I HAVE to do Helltides, no matter if I want to or not. And that made them seriously more unpleasant.

Keep the idea that something might be the MAIN source of some resource, but don’t cut off other sources completely. Forcing players to do anything never really ends well in the long run.

Being able to exchange some materials for others, even at a loss, would be great too. You enjoy Blood Harvests and have insane amounts of the blood for Zir, but not really need them? Go to an npc, exchange them for Living Steel or other boss summon resources, or for the souls. Make the acquiring things more flexible, because now it’s a tight leash, and most of us don’t enjoy being leashed.

I also concur with the idea to make helltides unique for every region, but I understand how much resources it would take and that there are other priorities. But keeping stuff like Blood Harvest as a kind of a Helltide type (or an alternative providing similar drops) and adding a new type every season or two would be great to ensure a healthy variety of activities.
