Please create an endgame competition activity

Right now we have:

  1. Gauntlet - which is not not really an endgame competition as it is a lvl 70ish nmd activity and is based on speed only
  2. Pit - which mainly for tempering materials and testing builds power at high lvls

In my opinion none of those 2 can be counted as an endgame competition activity at their current state.
I would be even ok with something resembling the Pits, but with a leaderboard. The way Blizzard chooses to do it, I don’t care, but I feel we lack that type of content in the game right now.

This is an ARPG, not an esports title

There are leader boards in lots of games and a lot of people like them.

There’s a PvP area. Does that count?

Leaderboard was the reason you pushed grifts in D3.

Sometimes I took one hour to inspect top players, what skills and items they used. And how many perfect rolled primals they got. Was so much fun.

Some people needs motivation to play the game. Then some people needs other players to motivate them to play the game.

Dont do this

Its dumb

Maybe there will be in the future, like the Grift of D3…
But to be honest, I never cared about that ranking, I finished the final Grift150 in the S32 of D3, I took 14min, and when I opened the leaderboard and saw that the first place took 4min, I didn’t have any idea of wanting to surpass him

This is a LOOT game after all, and even if I can challenge the highest level, it doesn’t mean that I will farm in there, so this ranking mode that challenges the limit is just a carnival for a small number of people.

Anyway, as long as someone needs it, I think it’s still valuable. Although most people probably won’t care.

Rather have better loot rewards when completing higher and more difficult content than having my name on some ranking list.

Don’t get me wrong, i am ok with ranking system just so we get to see whats the highest possibility classes has ever reach or fastest time to complete it, but getting better rewards for pushing high tier content is much more satisfying and we don’t have the better reward thingy currently (other than extra MW mats and more useless legendaries). They should include res sparks as loot drop chance with higher difficulty content . After a while, when we have 4 RS, we can crafts a mythic unique of our choice

Just my 2 cents

This. D3 had many great systems, like the cube, build armory, etc.

if this is referring to Pits (and from the context it is), I don’t think this will happen until the class balance is fixed. IMO that is good, because otherwise the weaker classes of the season would have a great disadvantage. Right now we have a 20+ tiers difference between the strongest pits class and the weakest.

Agreed, Class balance first

Balancing classes in games is never easy. Making everything multiplicative instead of additive could simplify the balancing process. As a GMS & Theorycrafter on Sanctuary it would also help in making builds easier to explain and understand for players, as the impact of each stat and bonus would be more straightforward.

Either way, bug free, balancing needs to be a top priority.
