We hardcore players are your most adamant supporters, please stop ignoring us by not addressing the reasons behind the nerfed scroll drop rate. As a dad of 2 sometimes I have to walk away, sometimes my kids do something unexpected, I don’t want the only safe way to play hardcore to be in a freakin’ locked room with multiple power backup sources and a fiber connection.
In the past 2 days I’ve had a DC death and another one where my son sat on the remote and changed the channel on the TV mid-pit. This has actually happened before but I simply scroll out when it happens… but I can’t do that with no scrolls. There is no solution right now for all the ‘oh sh1t’ moments in life that are not under my control.
If the intention is to remove scrolls then explain the reasoning. Right now you have a one-shot mechanic dungeon in the game, unstable server performance leading to frequent DCs, yet scrolls are nerfed to be the rarest items in the game. I just want to hear the reasoning and whether this is intentional. If it is, it’s a mistake and you are alienating your HC player base from probably the best content in the game.

The final end game of Hardcore players are a glorious death, so that they can do postmortem in the discord. It is working as per design.
Hello Tasty, remember we posted before about button binding scrolls of escape for controllers, and that this was an imbalance between platforms. I think this was the solution LOL. Now no one gets a scroll.

I leveled a Hardcore Necromancer from 1 to 60 and had ZERO scrolls. I won’t run a dungeon either I actually didn’t get my aspects because of fear of the Butcher. My plan is only run a dungeon if I have 3 scrolls. 1 to keep it in going to die, 1 for the butcher, and 1 for Disconnecting.
So since I will only run dungeons with three scrolls I made my level 60 Hardcore Necromancer without ever running a dungeon and never got a scroll to drop lol.
1-60 is very, very fast. On average it currently takes FAR longer to get one (which is a problem)
Needing 3 scrolls to even try a dungeon is a silly condition of your making. If you insist on having 1 fine, though still that’s really unnecessary. The other 2 you definitely don’t need at the SAME time. You’re just shooting yourself in the foot with this condition.
If you can’t kill the butcher you can certainly get away from him with proper use of mobility skills and cooldowns. He also doesn’t go through any checkpoints or loading zones.
The butcher is not nearly as threatening now that NMDs are normalized to your level.
