Playing Diablo IV COMPLETELY FREEZES PC

It happened to me yesterday and even today, after the patch release.

What basically happens to me is that the game randomly freezed my whole pc (I said they are random because yesterday it happened after 1 hour of playing, at nigh; today i was able to play for like 6 hours without any problem, but i reconnected this night and in like 20 minutes it happened again); making me unable to do anything, having to force a reboot by shutting it down. (While the game es frozen, im able to hear the game and other apps for like 2 mins or so). Can’t figure where the problem is.

Im currently running the following specs:
OS: Windows 11 Pro.
Graphics Card: RX 6700XT (With the latest update, which was released by AMD at 1st June)
Processor: I5-13400F
Motherboard: Asus B660 PLUS D4 WIFI
Storage: NVME.2 Samsung 980 1TB
RAM: 32 GB 3200Mhz (2x16GB)

I know it’s not heating issues, i know it doesn’t happen in any other game, just on this one. (I also have a monitor with 165Hz with FreeSync, don’t know if this info is helpful)

Could be your ram overheating. Tends to show up as random freezes momentarily.

Same Problem here. 6800xt 5800x3d win 11.
Game freezes random, i have to hard Reset my whole pc. Since last update. Temps are all fine. No issues with other games

Same here. 6900xt, i7 9700k, 32gig, win10

Those of you with this, try checking suggestions I posted here:

Exactly the same issue (what’s more interesting is that in WoW it happens as well).
D4 (and WoW) are the only affected games. I’m monitoring temps for cpu, gpu and ram - all look fine. Probably (again) some problem that Blizz game has with AMD cards…
i5 13600, 6950xt, 32ram, win11.

Also 6900xt PC freezing here with the latest drivers, I expect it’s going to be an AMD driver issue, surprise surprise :frowning:

idem for me 6950Xt… windows 11

Toujours pas résolu!

uninstall the most recent version of amd drivers as there are numerous posts of them causing issues - roll back to a previous version
