Playing a Minion Necromancer is so clunky right now

Playing a Minionmancer this season is not the best gameplay with all the bugs still affecting the Ring of Mendeln and minions in general. Here’s what I have to do every time I enter a new zone as a workaround for the current minion related bugs in the game:

  1. First I have to unsummon all my Skeletal Skirmishers.
  2. I have to remove points from my Titan’s Fall skill from the Skill Tree.
  3. I have to add the points back to my Titan’s Fall.
  4. I have to resummon my Skeletal Skirmishers.

Every time I enter a new zone, I have to repeat these four steps. If I enter The Pit, I can only do steps 1 and 4 as long as you unsummon your Skirmishers before you enter The Pit as you can’t change your build once you enter it.

Why do I have to do these four steps every time I enter a new zone in the game? It’s because there’s a bug where you lose the 30% (x) Skirmishers damage bonus and the Titan’s Fall damage bonus every time you enter a new zone.

The workaround for both bugs is resetting both bugged damage modifiers. By resummoning your Skirmishers and removing and then re-adding the points into Titan’s Fall, you can get your damage bonuses back but only as long as you don’t leave your current zone.

As soon as you leave your current zone, you have to reset both damage bonuses again. Unfortunately when you are doing The Pit, Titan’s Fall won’t be working at all, so you’re better off removing all points in that passive skill and using it in another part of your skill tree while running The Pit.

In order to preserve my sanity, I have a separate Pit build saved in the Armory that already has points removed from Titan’s Fall so I don’t have to manually reset it whenever I decide to do a Pit run.

As I believe that the last bug patch has been released for this season as the developers turn all their attention to the upcoming PTR and next season, I believe I’ll unfortunately be stuck doing this workaround dance for the remaining part of the season.
