Without going into a ton of details on how it all works, it’s a FAR more complicated system than you’d think. At least based on my knowledge of how similar systems work under the hood in other client<==>server based games.

all banning trading of these mats does is force RMT to turn in the mats instead of trade.
Blizz does not have any in game drop awareness/control according to a GM I spoke with (x doubt), as in the one season my scroll did not drop and they claimed to not be able to do anything about it.
Funny how a past season reward is now just how the interface works.
I’m not trying to say it was aliens, but it probably is aliens.

Are you saying players are forcibly loading other players’ stash and inventory while on-screen, yet blizz can’t? What sort of tech is this in 2024?
No drop awareness would simply mean it’s client sided, there’s no way that is happening, so I’d take a fist-full of salt with that.

i guess lucky for my buddy he got 1,000 runs traded before the disabled trading… which is a joke since you can still trade by dropping stuff on the ground for others to pick up
Yeah there were duriel sets available with hundreds and thousands in stock on the very first day.

Seriously Blizzard, disable item trading & be done with it already. Not trying to sound rude but the utter lack of programming skill on the part of the dev team is apparent given the sheer number of times item trading has been disabled due to item duplication exploits. This has been an issue every single season. Do yourselves & the community a favor by getting rid of item trading in its entirety. It’s beyond ridiculous at this point.
