I have been playing barb and understand barb is weak in this season. But when I notice the top builds for all the classes, it looks like there is no playable melee class in diablo 4. And that’s why it makes barb look so bad (and I don’t think WW is a melee build tbh). Blizzard would need to think about how to design melee class esp the new class is exactly a melee class.

I feel most people say they want melee classes. but then they can’t clear screens like other characters and say they want buffs or attack faster or w/e so then you get huge aoe attacks that clear screens and then its back to wanting melee instead of huge aoe screen clears. it’s a cycle that no one wants to play. try out Druid i hear they use clubs
Maybe play whatever is fun to you and quit paying attention to stupid build sites?

Only in comparison to classes that are overpowered. Bash is capable of doing everything that’s required to build your character this season. Farming ih7 and 101 pit is easy and tormented bosses go down fast.
Of course if you’re trying to push higher tier pits and farm ih8 quickly it’s going to underperform. But to say it’s not playable is not an accurate statement.

There’s a good death blow build by beatdropper on YouTube, I’m doing tier 7 with it
Flurry rogue is in a better spot than most tier lists lead you to believe, still takes forever to kill a boss, but you have so much DR that nothing can kill you except if you get 4-5 stacks of the debuff and get one shot.
and why player cant do same to boss then boss gets 3-4 stacks you 1 shot boss bliizz need to add somthing wht can remove these stacks with pot or somthing
no they need to INCREASE MECHANICS if you cant pay attention you DIE

I’m going to play it anyway even if it’s weaker, what’s more, I’m interested in the archetype that seems to be the weakest (the eagle).
And it’s not because I want to try it, it’s because it is the archetype that in my opinion is most similar to the Demon Hunter (more than the Rogue).
U play barb to pvp anyway every season like true barbs… true barbs never play mage or necro and started off as druids… barbs still squish mages in S5 even tho they tripple our dps and im not saying every mage but its never easy against a real barb main… u need 4 mythics S5 to be viable but as a barb we already got those mythics the first day of season start… As a BARB main we use our shouts to push enemies away while opening chest and TP’ing because you can never interrupt a true barb

Maybe if they would quit making endgame content that needs an A or S tier build to successfully clear we could play what we want. But as long as the keep upping monster density and making content harder and harder we will never be able to play our way. Which was the Blizzard slogan for D4 before launch.
Have you actually played barb this season? Like you have a lvl 100 barb clearing t7 hordes with bash? I HIGHLY DOUBT IT.
I have an absolutely maxed out flay build, 5 mythic uniques , 3 of them GA. I almost can’t die, but in a T7 horde, i can’t do enough damage to kill the council. I’m not alone, it’s a problem pretty much everyone playing barb is facing because barb was over nerfed.
So if you’ve managed to figure out what basically no one else has, please post some videos.

I will lol, please prove me wrong…My barb is so built but just can’t bring the DPS. It can soak hits all damn day, im not sure if it can even die at this point lmao
I haven’t tried flay but I have heard it’s not viable. I tried the bash bleed variant and it sucked but just pure bash works. It hits for 50-100million with 200-400million overpowers. My crit damage is about 2800 and with 60+ crit chance 2/3s of my hits are crits. It still takes me a couple mins to kill the council but they die.

No one should clear screen, and aoe NEEDS to be weaker than single target.
