Plain, simple, truth

Your proposed changes are unwise. Your complicating things, minimalizing things, and increasing difficulty will not make an end game out of the current game. From what limited information provided you are going to make things worse. Poe (2) failed to do this right, Bungie (sony) failed to this right (destiny 2), You have failed to this right several times over on d3 Lilith 1(d4, there is no diablo). All the time in d4 you’ve spent changing mechanics you could have simply added a real endgame system by now the decent thing added was the pit and the game was better in beta than release, release then anytime after (for me). You migrated this into a casual, easy to play hack n slash that is short lived because THERE IS NO REAL ENDGAME. MAKE AN ENDGAME. its that simple.

For the love of god stop with renown bs.

it’s a repeat of what they did in S7 or 8. they took the changes that the S6 patch made and made them worse by stretching them out, like lowering the GA odds while not improving the loot in the slightest.

basically the :poop: and the fan analogy. they took the pile of :poop: that is the loot, put a fan on it and blew it in a wider radius, making everything even more tedious.

now they’re ruining the loot even more AND making the loot hunt even more tedious.

at this stage they might as well cancel the 2nd and 3rd and 4th expansion they’ve got in the cards, and shut the game down until someone with a clue buys the Diablo franchise and handles D5 +

Absolutely agree. This is the wrong direction and i cant help but facepalm when I read what they are doing.

The usually 0 second playtime judges…:person_facepalming:

Just wait for ptr…how it’s really feels

The game is on steroids now and have to come down a bit.

They’re not proposing changes. They made changes. They’ll change some 1s and 0s after the PTR, but this will be the game in season 11.

Play/Judge the game by the PTR, and even then that might even change.

Pit go down and tower go up. New content is here and confirmed. :white_check_mark:

This is my new fav joke for 2025.

not sure what this suppose to mean

Honestly, I’m not even sure what people mean when they say “there’s no endgame.”
The real issue, in my opinion, is that most players don’t even understand what endgame in an ARPG is supposed to be.

Diablo 3 never had real ARPG endgame — and Diablo 4 doesn’t either.
So the real question isn’t “why is there no endgame,” but rather what would endgame even look like when your entire foundation is so bland and shallow?

thanks for letting us know you don’t play the game

Well, I just speak for myself (not your average player…in my eighties).

The changes at first glance have made the game WAY TOO COMPLICATED for me.

I won’t be able to play because I won’t be able to understand HOW TO PLAY. Perhaps this will affect your casual players and your totally “new to the game” players too.

Would imagine you will have far fewer players after a few months. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Your usual long time posters on this forum will be leaping for joy.

Thinking about it, 1 persons thought/opinion about an End game may not be another persons though/opinion about it…

Some people would say Yes, this is an end game, others would not…

Probably gets to the point where were don’t even know what it is anymore.

Honestly surprised we haven’t got there yet.

From what i’ve been reading there’s so many conflicting opinions on what endgame should be. It amazing how people here are confident that they know what it is.

Maybe a list should be compiled on what end game should be. See if there’s enough similarities that the devs can look into if they don’t have that info already.

Diablo 3 Had Inferno on Launch. That was fantastic from my pov. Me and 2 buddies played each day after school.

Neither me Nore These 2 lads Play D4 and WE all have been Diablo Fans since the late 90s.

AND IS “end game” something a person can do forever? Or until they reach a certain point in the game?

  1. Having every single glyph you use (or not) maxed out 100.
  2. Having 300 paragon points.
  3. Collecting every single mythic item.
  4. Getting every single Aspect unlocked on every character in the game

I mean…aren’t these end game ideas? This is available for anybody to do right now…

Bet some people would say, “That’s not Real End game!!”.

It’s crazy people don’t understand or didn’t read what’s coming to the game… We play the game so we know what the purposed changes will do. O your one of those that don’t actually play the game but looks everything up so you don’t actually know the game I get it.

My initial impression of these changes was also not good, but I think the removal of Chaos Armor contributed towards me feeling this way.

I think let’s test the new changes on PTR with an open mind and be objective on whether the upcoming changes are good or not…

The changes seem interesting, I’m excited to check out the ptr.

Very true. One can’t upvote this enough, and it’s vital when expressing productive feedback.

They really didn’t fundamentally change the systems, they just made them look more complex. And, I agree, that’s not a good thing.
