I hope the devs read these topics as the pits needs some attention!
Let me start by saying, i love the pits, its fun, fast and needed for the mats, but… i have some gripes as of late.
- Why oh why once we pass level 31, the level at which you receive ingoliths instead of obducites, does any level above 31 NOT still give us the obducites that are given under level 31? This makes absolutley NO sense at all, so a high level 1 shot player who kills everything when picking up a new peace of gear he wants to masterwork, will now have to go do a level 30 pits to get obducite… why would said player want to, how would that be any fun to them? Why not include the previous mat into the ingolith levels too? Cmon devs, you present a near perfect mechanic in game and then immediately mess it up for the players.
Same goes with ingoliths, i havent reached the neathiron levels yet but i can bet once there, those levels wont give ingoliths or obducites, it makes no senses at all. People will still be finding gear down the line and will need obducites and ingoliths well after doing level 200 pits.
- Pits has now ruined party play for me and my buddies, we learned while playing and testing that the summoner gets full mats, yet any other party member gets around only a thrid of what the summoner gets, WHY? ITS NOT FUN!, this directly kills multiplayer for so many, whats the point, solo is better then and has been for me lately, not only that, but while playing solo i seem to be doing highler levels with greater ease than what we were doing in party!? After testing myself, i find a party of two who does a level 35, is harder than myself doing a solo 45 like wth guys?.
If giving the non summoners a third is the devs way of stopping boosting, then i say this. You have the leaderboards for gauntlet, do a leaderboard within the party for pits and have a formula that gives each individual a shared portion of mats proportionate to their stats, so maybe its kills, or damage or both. Not everyone is boosting and its not fun trying to play pits with friends, when the summoner gets 38 mats and the rest get 11 or 12! You’re taking the fun out of what is really a fun event. If people boost, the leaderboard will show the noob sitting waiting at the entrance with no kills or no damage and therefore, said noob will get no mats, yes they get xp but thats not the issue here. If myself and buddy play, we will or should gets roughly the same amount of kills and damage give or take and we should both be compensated accordingly, not one guy getting almost 40 mats and the rest barely olabove 10!.
You have the leaderboard already setup, use it in the pits please, dont punish all the good players because you are concerned over boosting, thats not right.
This was Diablo’s last chance with me, im a hardcore player, i have over 1500 hours in diablo since launch, i boycotted season 3 as it was an absolute disaster and this is meant to be diablo’s turn around for me, i am not shy to spend real money on the game and have until season 3, this is your last chance and to be totally fair, im enjoying season 4, i love the gear and loot rework, i love helltides, i oretty much love it all but the pits is just not great at the moment and i would love to see some change with it, i would love to dump some cash into this season too for battle pass, but at the moment, one of the main mechanics or events, being the pits is just not making me enjoy playing with friends.
Please please fix this or acknowledge at least that this is on your radar and something you are looking at.
Thank you.
Massive diablo fan since D1
