I was curious since people said the mothers blessing doesn’t affect the pit xp so I did some testing. At paragon 282 I ran 3 separate pit 100’s one just normal one with only the 3 incense applied and the last one with the 3 incense and an elixir. I did ONLY the xp from the boss room so number of mobs killed was not taken into consideration… First run with no buffs I got 7,989,690xp Second run with only incense I got 7,991,674xp last run with 3 incense and the elixir I got 7,992,865xp judging from what I can tell there is 0 affect on xp from any of it. a 5% gain would be almost 400,000 xp and there is barely 2,000xp difference between each run is this because it’s “from monster kills” and we get the xp from a dungeon completion or some sort of a quest and not a boss kill?
Correct at the end of the Pit, upon killing the last boss it gives you a set amount of exp that is not altered what so ever by bonuses. Think of it like turning in whispers and getting exp when you open the caches. That also is not affected by any bonus. Or opening a Helltide chest, or completing a NMD when you get the screen that shows your rewards.
mother blessing 35% multiplicative exp week is a lie.

35 % is pretty nothing so buff maybe at least 75 %! Not 35 %… …because you dont keep seasonal character after 3 months.
Isn’t it only for monster kills?
it says, “all players will earn 35% experience and 50% gold at a (multiplicative) increased rate,” without providing any conditions or exclusion clauses, intentionally leading the public to falsely assume it applies across the board. this is a marginal scam and dishonest to us paying players (licensees).
I dont think mothers blessing works in the pit. Its best in the hordes. Level up multiple times in the hordes.
Mid 260s and it’s very noticeable in horde, NMD, helltide.
Also not all of us play seasonal. Seasonal benefit doesn’t need to be the deciding factor for everything.
just reach P300 yesterday afternoon! so that’s P300 this season and last season. insane and pointless, i know.

anyway, yes, infernal hordes give more XP/hour than pits so just did hordes most of the time last weekend.
did this with an earthquake barb. will now create an alt build, sorcerer, and try to reach pit 150! this should be a challenge as sorc is a poor performer this season.
We need to launch a class-action lawsuit.
Judge: “WTF is a Mother’s Blessing? The Pit?”
So you’re saying I shouldn’t eat an elixir before I turn in a cache cause that is the only time I seem to remember to do it.
Correct, any exp bonuses given to you either from elixirs, seasonal stuff, mother’s blessing event, etc. will only count toward enemies killed.
Well, I guess in that case I’ll have so many consumables that eventually I’ll need to drop something. I was seriously downing an elixir before turn in and thinking that it did something. Forget me I guess.
Wait, so the final guy in the pit is a friend? since exp only applies to “enemies” killed?
The boss itself will give you some experience for killing it. However the most exp you get is from seeing the completion screen of the Pit, where it gives you a big lump of exp. This bonus exp is not affected by any buffs.
