Pit trash harder since hotfix?

I went from 3 minutes to nearly 10 minutes on trash in the pit?

Always massive AoE trash that takes forever to kill now?

Bosses always seem to have the same assistants too. I can’t progress past 65 even with 8/12 on all gear because I am avoiding double tap mechanics that hit for 50k a pop?

Wazzup Blizzard? Too many people find success outside of your mandated flavor of the month specs?

That’s trash if it is true. By looking at S5 PTR, seems like they want even the elite casuals to stay at 100.

I ran some 101 pits after seeing your post and they seem exactly the same as before. Not sure what’s happening for you - maybe something going on with your gear or build that the patch changed?

May want to check your gear and the patch notes, see if they fixed something. This just sounds odd on multiple levels.

I played post-patch at 122. No difference for me. Check your gear/Aspects vs Patch Notes.

maybe you got unlucky with the mob type, it happened to me, i got a map with frost spiders and those khazra chamans that one shots you with their stupid red lightning atack. Also, i got two spirit caller of frost and two outlaw sharpshooter in a row, resulting in a lot of one shot bs during my runs.

Try to do a few more runs before jumping into conclusions, also check up your gear, equip and unequip all because there was a bug that the game didn’t recognize your gear and you get one shot.

PIT mob elites are a bit harder but the PIT bosses are noticeably harder to burn than before. Created a thread on it. Takes my well geared Bash Bard an extra 2-3 min to burn down lvl 101 PIT bosses. I no longer GASH boss HP like before. I havent tried Uber Bosses yet.

That’s weird. I’m also playing bash barb and it doesn’t take me longer at all. Something strange is happening.

I’m also running tier 101 and it’s still taking 2-3 minutes per run, same as before.

It is back to normal… actually easier today! Curious if it was stealth fixed or some of us are running into bugged pit instances? It is a very noticeable swing between just before, just after patch, and today. Very odd!

I can understand your frustration, I too have encountered an abnormal number of mobs intent on CC ing me to death. Multiple wallers , frost, barrel bombs things, shadow damage, electric rods everywhere and the best of all being stunned for 4 seconds (4 seconds is a lifetime) . This can happen all at the same time which I have never encountered before latest patch.
No doubt Blizzard are saying are your having fun now

i no longer encounter empty corridors. enemy density looks to have increased but the time to spawn the boss portal is noticeably longer. been farming pit 111 before and after the patch.

thx devs. first shadow nerfed neathiron drop post 100. now lengthened the time. and the generous drop rate of stygian stones. can’t imagine the grind for those who don’t play meta.

My bleed/bash barb with 80k HP is now getting chunked for damage at tier 91. Before I would take some damage but never go below 70% health, for the most part, and now I’m getting into the injured realm pretty regularly. Something changed for sure.

I beat the highest pit I was stuck in for a week yesterday with plenty of time left. Then, I got destroyed on the next tier by those fireball elites. The pit design is so inconsistent.

Hasn’t it always been like this since the beginning of season 4? They seemed to only change the amount of HP of the bosses, and also promised more mobs either in the pit or in the NM. It seemed like nothing had changed. By the way, it’s not even the elite that delivers the most, but their henchmen. They are not considered elite but have increased HP and DMG. But they didn’t seem to be added; they often replace regular mobs above pit 25.

Nothing even dents my HP except those suicide bomber.

Those can one shot me if I don’t have my defensive up…

Well, I played as a lightning sorcerer and I have no idea what you’re talking about. Don’t all attacks in this game have a one-shot effect?

PS. Sorry. All except mine. Reminds me of Dark Souls 3, a good game to make you feel worthless.

I’m wondering if there was a stealth fix too.

I went from 5 minutes per run at 61 to 10 just for the trash. Boss was 5+ minutes. The +1 add was spawning in the first stage. I had to give up on several due to the +1 boss arriving every single time the boss turned blue and I had burned my ultimate. Forcing me to waste -what is normally 1/4-1/2 the bosses life.

Today:
The shadow boss addition 1 shot me 3 times when, visually, i was out of range of his last attack.

I still completed the run with 3 seconds on the clock.

Every trash pack yesterday was fire and lightning - which generally isn’t a problem… Unless its every pack. They definitely hit harder and lasted longer.

Otherwise there has been no changes to my build. All my gear is the same and the goal was to get 8/12 on all items before attempting to fine tune / reach 70+

Pit mobs and bosses are now easier today. The boss stun kicks off much easier… I can chunk it and HP much faster at the same level I was complaining about yesterday. Had to be a stealth fix/adjust!
