Here is my quick feedback for two different blizzard sorcs
1.) Max Eternal Blizz Sorc with no GAs (shako + starless uber), all equipment upgraded 8/12: was able to speed run level 100 PIT and beat boss with zero effort in under 5 minutes twice in a row.
2.) New level 100 sorc in season realm with GAs on all equipment with glyphs up to 15 (no ubers; no equipment upgrades): was able to speed run through 30 PIT levels from 50 to 80 with zero effort. Each pit run was about 5 minutes. EXCEPT for Marksman boss: i was consistently one-shot by this boss (not the shadow but the boss).
Additional callouts
1.) Definite nerf to PIT boss difficulty. They die in under 30 seconds. Still need to dodge.
2.) the 2nd PIT portal in PIT is much quicker. On average I only spend 30 seconds in 2nd tier before enabling the boss portal
3.) seasonal RNG is MUCH better than eternal. There is no comparison. It has been a while since I went back to my eternal sorc, and I was reminded today about how bad the RNG is in eternal realm. Im still using legacy rings, legacy shako, legacy tibault
Matches my findings for the most part; i have 1 2 ga item, and its a wand, so probably the least amount of variables. Everything else is still 1 ga intel or baseline.
well honestly, that won’t stop sorc from being complete trash. Instead of buffing solo target damage for some classes they for god only knows reasons decided to nerf pit boss hp. I wonder what it will change.
What do you mean by that? Are you saying Eternal has worst drop rates? I only play on Eternal so I have no way to compare but I don’t see how there could be any meaningful difference. RNG is RNG. Unless there is something sinister going on, lol.
Yah, a mutually trusted source told me that it is significantly better in Season. And said that it was total BS because ive long had the understanding that rng is rng. So i tried it out myself and i was amazed. If you think about it, it makes sense considering blizzard wants you to play seasonal and if seasonal had sucky rng, no one would play it…
The whole idea that RNG is RNG is not correct. Developers have said that is not the case.
yeah much better to farm pit now bless this patch was kinda stuck at farming 71, now farming 101 literally as smoothly, but season… nah they’d have to give me 4 uber shards at level 100 every season to convince me to play in season, I’m not farming for shako and starless again they can rng magic all they want I did my farming for the year supported their endeavor, but not every season like, I’ll maybe pick one season to play a druid? in the years to come, eternal is decent enough for my magic antics and perfectionism, who knows when I’ll get the perfect rolls I want already on one sorc, hopefully we’ll get a leaderboard soon too…
my pit jumped from 84 to 100 today, can still advance but its slowing down. I have to rework paragon a bit/masterwork some gear a lvl or two (or find better gear but f helltides). Will be nice to push again, and the masterwork mats are rotating alot faster. Had to reset an 8/12 wand and got it upgraded back to 8/12 within 2-3 runs which is kinda nice.
Yea this happens to me occasionally. Around 16.7k health, I have armor and resistances capped. If you dont have a barrier up past 60, either from protection or ice armor, ive found it very hard to stay alive.
Of course I get caught in those fire/poison explosions that I didnt see quick enough as well because hydra fire and frozen orbs are everywhere
The point is that RNG comes from the server. And it looks like the players’ equipment is read there.
There are more players on the season server and they are more active. There are almost no players in Eternal.
Even with the worst chance setting, you have a better chance of getting a good item where there are fewer players.
This is logical.
