It is a simple reality that in an infinitely scaling system, something will one shot you at some point in progression.
There are definitely issues with visual clarity vs. mechanics that are clearly meant to be dodged rather than tanked, but expecting to never get one-shot misunderstands the premise of an endlessly scaling system.
I donât think the 1-shot is the issue at hand, itâs that they couldnât tell what was doing it, and therefore couldnât improve at dodging it better next time.

Just focus on the shadow boss mechanics for a while and completely ignore the boss. Everything is telegraphed and avoidable. Im almost 50 and I have no issues reacting to the mechanics. It usually boils down to stop tunnel visioning the boss und shifting the focus to the deadly mechanics of the shadow attacks.
Thanks⌠but I didnât have any real issues until T61.
And I have done exactly that, focused on just avoiding shadow attacks. But when you hit 61 suddenly they hit way harder and there are more shadows, for example Lilith comes in at 50% boss health.
Also some bosses have their own CC attacks which will hit you right as you are preparing to avoid shadow attacks.
Thankfully Blizz seem to agree with me judging by the stated changes.
I like the escalating difficulty as the fight goes on though, it just needs to be within reason.
31 and 61 is a break point, you get better mats but the difficulty is increasing, so you need to relearn the fights. Its doable as shown by countless other players. Time to get better
.
when you see red patches on the floor, just run away from the boss with you face scrubbing the wall.
also, you can hide behind obstacles like palm tree bonsai thing if you are in those arena.
we know you donât have immortal flame shield.
we know your feelings.
Well, at least I donât have the problem of having to do Pits, the first time was enough, but I canât seem to get Greater Affix gear to want to be in the pit. lol
Idiotic.
Itâs just incredibly annoying.
No problem or taking any dmg on packs, clearing up to boss door in 3 minutes and then boss just one shot constantly (stg 82)
It was the blood lord guy and his shadow bolt volley kept hitting me with all 5 instantly several times.
I really donât like this boss style of âWait until opening and then poke dmg for 2 seconds then dodge more attacksâ gameplay, thus why i never bothered with elden ring for example.

On the next attempt of stg 82 i got âsharpshooterâ and they just fell over and died.
So itâs just some bosses and âshadow bossesâ that do very overtuned dmg & health
Since when are they invisible? Itâs pretty darn clear that they are summoning a shadow to perform an attack and that the area is pretty clear on which part to stay out of. Record this âinvisible and untelegraphed abilitiesâ and show the rest of the class.
Thatâs some bad luck, Iâm constantly selling/scrapping GAâd gear because most of it isnât anything Iâm looking for.
All the people that say get good, clearly avoidable and learn the fights are being ignorant to 1 simple factor about the complaint. Itâs invisible!!! Literally nothing on the floor, no callout, no audio warning, no mechanical setup, just avoid a ton of other things and then boom your dead for no reason while standing in a clear patch.
As a former WoW raid leader and veteran, no one appreciated donât stand in stupid more than me. If you canât see it, you canât dodge it, unless you are in that Dodgeball movie or an 80âs karate movie.
Shelving this game til next season or until boss fight mechanics are balanced. Make meaningful boss fights that balance avoidance, damage, mechanics and endurance instead of balancing all of the difficulty into avoiding 1 out of balance ability that is often invisible and is certainly not recoverable from.
The 1 shots are garbage and completely game breaking - the way it is it is a bug and has to be fixed ASAP -FIX NOW as its ruining the game
If you get 3 debufs (being hit 3 times in the fight), the next hit will be hit kill so donât get hit 3 times till the end of fight and you are safe
