Physical ps5 version - license and daily cd usage

Hi! I just wanted to ask, that if i buy physical copy of D IV, will it be assigned to my battle.net account without possibility od reselling? If so, will i have to put cd to drive everytime i will like to play?

Thank you in advance!

That’s how it usually works with disk versions. You need the disk to access the game, even if the game is purely online. Basically the disk purchase is a key. Lose or sell the key, lose access to the game.

You definitely will not be able to install the game and resell it. They do this exactly because of people like you.

I think you can resell your physical copy, but you won’t be able to play the game anymore on your console.

Every time you start a game the ps5 checks if you still own the disc/license
It’s like this with every game on the PS

Hi! I do not see myself selling my copy in near future. Just wondering, if it is assigned to account (without option to resell after I am done with game for good) - then why put disk every time I would like to play the game? Trying to catch the difference/advantage of physical version vs digital. So far it seems that there is none (except disk juggle).

Or maybe is it like Supershiva mentioned here. It would be great to have Blizz comment on that.

Hi think you are all missing the point. Of course if you resell your disk, you won’t be able to play the game anymore. The disk works as a key, like any other console disk.

The question is: can you resell your disk and will the new disk owner be able to play the game ?!

Yes, as I don’t think the physical key will be bound to your account. Neither PSN nor BNet.
