Pets that loot?

There are some features that I’ve really come to love about Diablo III, including a recent addition from Season 28 where you can have your pets pick up loot as well as coin.

I really hope these features find their way into Diablo IV with perhaps an added feature of them salvaging drops we don’t want, which you also added in Season 28 of Diablo III.

The seasons of D3 seem to have served as a great testing ground to try out new features, and Season 28 definitely added some features that I find really useful. I hope you will consider carrying those over to D4.

The thing is that it sounds really cool to have a pet but its actually a very bad thing to have pets pick up your armor. Some people on this forum are already complainning about bag size. Many end game players ignore half the loot that drops since they only go for legendaries, uniques and ancestral items. White/purple/yellow loot has no real value for them anymore. If you have a pet that is contstantly picking up stuff you dont want and filling your inventory quite fast, it becomes a real annoying thing to deal with.

The only solutiion to your problem is… STOP BEING LAZY AS F***!

Well, you’re an jerk.

And your dead wrong, all loot has a purpose. Whether to wear, or to break down as mats. Even end game players need mats.

I am a what? So you go berserk on me because your lazy? Pressing a single button is to much for you to gather loot? What didnt you understand about limited bag space? You clearly havent played a diablo game before in its end stages. You are an adult that behavious and talks like a 12 year old. Shame on you.

Heres the thing though… legendaries are just a stepping stone, Rare gear is actually going to be valuable. because of +skills and being able to add legendary affixes.

Also… having ability to toggle loot drops that pet picks up would be a key. so you can choose if you want to have them pick the stuff up. Especially a blessing in early game, since you’re gonna be picking things up for mats. Hell you could even choose to have the pet automatically salvage items. Less time in town, more time slaying.

And op is right, you were a jerk in your post.

Also. I’ve played since d1 pc. Loot management always sucks. console for 3 made things more tolerable. And we should never have a low inventory slots… soo blizz needs to stop with that.

It’s tragic that people will start ignoring yellow items (although I get it). When you get a really well-rolled yellow, if you slap a Legendary Aspect on it, you’ve got an AMAZING new Legendary.

Pets would be neat, and I loved having my Demon Hunter’s ferrets pick up gold for me in D3, but it’s probably time we move on. Let’s let D4 be its own thing instead of hoping for it to just be a refinement of D3.

We know they are going to have pets for sell already theres no way they wont. Because they know they will sell like hot cakes. same with the cosmetics. ^.^" So… why not add functionality. Also… all diablo games are a “refinement” of the precious game. just making stuff better.

I called you a jerk, because you called him “lazy as f***”. And if you call that berserk, you have thin skin.

As for your other insinuations, they are deserving of a chuckle.

Wow changing your language and trying to be intelligent that way doesnt work. I bet it took you 10 minutes to come up with 2 whole sentences. Besides that your message didnt get deleted over nothing. Besides that you are not even capable of responding to the points I made in the message, which till shows you have an intelligence qoutient around 80. The average monkeys are smarter. If you want pets go play tamagotchi of go back to your pokemon. And yes people asking for pets so they dont have to loot themselves are F***** lazy. A base fact.

And still being a jerk.

Guess Kho is right, you’re very thin skinned, and its funny you talk about skipping points made. since you skipped responding to me, and went straight to someone you’re trying to bully. But good on you.

Hey Kho, its best not to bother with the child.

It didn’t take much to get under his skin.

Indeed. got to love it. Anyways… wonder what pets they are gonna sell for d4. They gotta bring back classic ones I think. love a spear poking cow. lol.

Would be nice to see farmable pets too. like mini version of bosses. a mini duriel, mini butcher.

I prefer to farm. Hopefully like in D3, with the Goblins.

Yeah but you know they are gonna add some to the shop. to make money. same with cosmetics.

Of course. Doesn’t mean we have to buy them.

If they cool looking and not too pricey i would. then again expendable cash. but by all means i dont mean i want them to add purchasable only pets. as stated. farming the miniture version of bosses would be great.

I used to buy my wife pets in WoW when we used to play. Personally, don’t really care about pets one way or the other. But the OP is right, S28 Altar pet loot is pretty cool. Makes speed runs go a lot faster.

Having it pick up the random materials and gold on the ground is good. Also auto-salvage would be fine for blues and whites, but yellows can have aspects added to them so auto salvaging those would be bad.

I feel like pets for looting would cheapen the Diablo experience for me. However they could give us the option to hide all pets in the options screen. You could have them and I wouldn’t have to watch them in my game. My only ask is that if they do not allow me to hide your pets in settings, please give them one hit point and allow me to interact with them.
