Update! It was just a bug.
Now that pets are finally here i keep seeing these posts about certain ones havin hiden passives. Is there any truth to this? Like the jaguar boosting consumables and the snow leopard boostin minions…etc. can anyone confirm this?

No. I have no idea where you heard that but that is not how pets work in Diablo games. They pick up mats. That is it.
I would be very very surprised if it was anything different. If they wanted to sell based on some magic pet bonus, they would TELL us about it to up sales. Not have some secret gossip.
Now, your Merc in the expansion is going to have bonuses that may help you.

There are no passives or powers available on pets. They are able to pick up materials such as gold, crafting mats, cinders, etc. but there is no combat functionality.
I’d love to get my special Starcraft, Overwatch and Warcraft pets I got that work in D3?
These pets are definitely targeted by mobs. It doesn’t do anything but tie up a couple mobs at a time. They don’t take damage. But if you position yourself, you can stand on the other side of the dog and ignore a couple mobs.
can we get our D3-earned wings into D4 plz?

More mounts please? I want a stable of mounts, horses are sooo last year!
Well than I inform you there is a bug with necro, where the system considers the pet as a minion. For example it casts Blood Surge when Deathspeaker is equiped. Also sacrifice bonus reads it as an active minion.
That is a bug, and is being investigated by the team, it is not part of the pet’s feature set.

the greed shrines are also bugged and reverted back to no longer summon goblins after the patch

Just google it or look it up on youtube. Apparently its a bug. And the comment about the price of the expansion is clearly a joke lol. I can honestly say i probably spend more on this game than any 2 average people put together lol.
Apparently S3 tested out functionality for pets, but also tested out the follower functionailty, which is one thing they’re introducing w/ the expac.
I wish the pets would pick up animus, cuz it seems that’s one thing it does not presently do.
Pets counting as minions was a bug and fixed already.
I saw a bunch of stuff on it late last night and wanted some confirmation today about it. Glad to hear its just a bug and was fixed.
