Petition to acknowledge Lossless Scaling as an official Frame Generation software

This is a petition. People who care about the health of their PCs may want to vote up on this.

There is a well-known software called Lossless Scaling (look up on Steam) which does upscaling and frame generation for any window in your PC. It includes Nvidia & FSR but also many more options added to those. Allows for up to 4X frame generation which can save a really good amount of CPU + GPU time for your PC, turning down the heat and voltage on your components.

As we all know, unless it’s approved by Blizzard, all of these software can cause a ban because of TOS.

Well here I plead; LS is just an upscaler. You can go in, do your tests, talk with the owner etc. and see there’s no advantage over other players. For what it’s worth, it catually helps you get on their level if they have 240FPS while you have a mere 30 cause of hardware limitations.

I would love to be able to run the game 2K at 20FPS and upscale it to 4K at 60FPS with LS so that my machine rests easier.

youll never get any kind of approval for any 3rd party software.

In the end, its always up to you to decide if something is safe to use.

Now, personally id say you wont have to worry over a software as long as it doesnt interact with your game files, or macros your actions in game. But yea, thats nowhere near an official statement from blizzard.

per ToS, as you correctly said, ANY kind of 3rd party software that interacts with the game is bannable.

If you have an AMD gpu you can just enable AFMF 2.
