As of reaching level 60, the pet suddenly disappears. It shows as equipped in the wardrobe but is gone in game play. This started as of the beginning of season 8.
I am also missing my pet. It is equipped and does not show up. Once I beat the Herald of Mephisto, it disappeared within the same game.

This happened last season as well, and nothing was ever done to fix it.
