My pet has disappeared on me twice. Completely gone, even though it’s still equipped. The only way I’ve found to get it to come back is going to the wardrobe and re-equipping it. Happened with two different pets–the bird and the new one based on the demon.
Edit: Okay, scratch that, going to my wardrobe to swap it didn’t work. The wardrobe didn’t actually even change my pet. I selected a completely different pet, hit “confirm look”, got the message that my outfit changed, but nothing was different in the wardrobe AND the pet was the same (and still gone). I’m in the middle of an ND, so I don’t know if that prevents it. I’ll try again after the ND, and then log off and on if that doesn’t work and update accordingly.
Edit 2: Logging off and on was the only thing that fixed it.
Same issue, but equipping no pet, then re-equipping the pet fixed the issue. Yet another persistent bug that hasn’t been fixed!

I’ve been having this issue recently. my pet disappears and stops picking up loot occasionally.
Sometimes, it fixes itself when I town portal, sometimes I have to go into the wardrobe and unequip/reequip the pet, and sometimes nothing other than exiting the game and re-entering fixes it.
Not a big deal, but annoying. I usually notice it after a big fight. The pet is no longer picking up gold and materials or even visible onscreen.
TBH, D4 with LoH is the most buggy I’ve ever seen a Diablo game.
I’ve had issues with the Rathma’s Golem fight too: Got softlocked in that bossfight 8 times before I finally got through it. I hate boss fights with gimmicks. Not looking forward to Mephisto, as I’ve already read he has unskippable cutscenes in his bossfight…smh…
