I played a bit of Season 4 ptr and have the below problems left with the game. If these are resolved, I can see d4 being my main time sink.
Things that will get me to play the game again and buy a regular battle pass:
Auto potion usage.
Look at Last Epoch potion system where it auto uses on dmg taken, etc.
Improved animations for minions.
More viable build variety and skill customizations
More variety in skill customizations like frost hydras looking frost and doing frost things, poison hydras looking poison and doing poison things, etc.
Refer to Last epoch skill customizations for ideas like more tiers for more choices or w/e.
Less content with timers
The pit without a timer, don’t care how generous timer is or other content I could do. I want pit with no timer.
Chasing defenses is boring.
Cost of gold/material sinks lowered.
Things that will get me to buy a premium battle pass:
Not being forced to do content you don’t to want while progressing your character but also don’t lock certain loot behind specific content. Or just make the content like NMD and overworld content more fun.
Example: LE/PoE where you can ban game content or areas.
Things that will get me to buy the other more expensive battle pass.
*Give me back the money I paid for the base game +cost of said battle pass.
POE new season , and game has no endgame content after killing monolith for hours its boring farming gear takes a while , but u can use AH and get some , the RNG on crafting affixes is kinda frustrating (D4 s4 will see something akin to that)
arpgs live and die by good seasons and new cool toys to play with.
Is that really a thing in LE? I don’t play that game. If true, then that seems… strange… I guess it works like Life Regen then in a sense… you can always put on some life regen (in S4) if that is what you desire.
I believe that when you have 9 potions and 70% health it is annoying to have to use and go to the portion to get back to 9, it could automatically be used as a life globe. Seconds are wasted which makes it boring. We could have a standard health recovery too, since it’s a very dynamic game, it doesn’t matter.
How would this one go down in any other business? Go into a steak house and tell them you’ll order the biggest steak they have if they refund you the cost of the last steak you had?
As far as feedback goes this is a bit of a strange list, like is this the entirety of the things you need in this game? If so that’s actually amazing most people have a much longer list of complaints. More viable builds in general is common feedback but the one example you gave isn’t really going to change the game all that much.
Half of what you said comes down to “do what LE is doing” but if LE is already doing that just go play LE and you’ll get what you want.
