May as well do that now.
Not sure if I would want to be proud of that, other than maybe being on it that long.
Not saying its a bad card, but I look at my 980 Strix in my old Windows 7 PC (that I still use) with a bit of cringe. And I had updated several times since that card.
It can still play games okay of course, does OW and D3 just fine, and is (or was) the minimum requirement for running 3D Virtual Headset devices. Of course, it won’t run D4 on that box since its Win 7 still, but that’s fine.
But there are so many features that generation doesn’t support now and many modern games need the newer features to run better.
I won’t say that a newer card is the best answer either. There are definitely things that Blizzard needs to do better. But I will say that more often the problems many are having can be solved right in front of you with adjustments or changes to the setup and system.
Should we have to be doing that? Absolutely not. It used to be a thing where some gamers would tweak their systems just to make the game run better, and that was all it did.
Now its like we have to tweak them in order to get a game to run at all. And no, that isn’t right.
But good luck. I have a bunch of suggestions to try in various threads. The shortest path to those threads can be found here:
