Permanent crashes

Please, just please let me know what happened with D4.

As an introvert (and a developer), you really got me annoyed.

I am a proud owner of GTX 970 - which should be “Recommended Requirements” as you say - and previously I could enjoy the game on 4k resolution.

I had a problem - around 10% of my town portals crashed the game. No big deal. After recent patch - it became 90%. So I have switched down resolution to windowed 2k (crashes became 10% again), followed by turning down to Full HD.

Now I experience multiple crashes during Hordes - lvl 7 or above. During single horde.

So my question is: do you test your product before release? If minimum or recommended requirements have changed - just please let me know. Let us all know.

If it would be just me - no problem. But let just see all other issues with all other users - even with RTX 30X0 or 40X0 - so what is the problem? Do you not test your own products?

Blizzard was known for the best quality. Then Activision happened. Then Microsoft happened. Is this the reason? Money gain over the quality?

I am print screening this post, and if I get ignored - trust me, it becomes viral.

Best regards, and do your job.

May as well do that now.

Not sure if I would want to be proud of that, other than maybe being on it that long.

Not saying its a bad card, but I look at my 980 Strix in my old Windows 7 PC (that I still use) with a bit of cringe. And I had updated several times since that card.

It can still play games okay of course, does OW and D3 just fine, and is (or was) the minimum requirement for running 3D Virtual Headset devices. Of course, it won’t run D4 on that box since its Win 7 still, but that’s fine.

But there are so many features that generation doesn’t support now and many modern games need the newer features to run better.

I won’t say that a newer card is the best answer either. There are definitely things that Blizzard needs to do better. But I will say that more often the problems many are having can be solved right in front of you with adjustments or changes to the setup and system.

Should we have to be doing that? Absolutely not. It used to be a thing where some gamers would tweak their systems just to make the game run better, and that was all it did.

Now its like we have to tweak them in order to get a game to run at all. And no, that isn’t right.

But good luck. I have a bunch of suggestions to try in various threads. The shortest path to those threads can be found here:

GTX970 & 4K

3080 here no problems

10 others have likely print screened your whole post and shared it in discord already with their friends.

Thanks for the laugh

Ha! I missed that earlier.

What did they enjoy it as? A choppy slide show? I forced a 2070 to run at 4K and Ultra settings and was seeing at best, 40FPS. And this was on an AMD based machine with 32GB.

While a 970 was a good card back in its day almost exactly 10 years ago, its not going to carry 4K resolution very well unless you dumb the graphics to minimums. Then what’s the point?

This whole thread smells of troll.
