Performance after latest patch

Not sure why, Extremely long loading screens, Talking with vendors / blacksmith / etc freeze the game for a while,

Pressing i to open my inventory… 10 second freeze.
Pressing A to look at skills / paragon… 10 second freeze
Open a nightmare dungeon… 5 minute loading screen.

Finally got through 1 of the loading screens for vaults / Nightmare dungeons. Ended up dying and I just sat there as a ghost / dead body. Unable to resurrect as there was no button popping up to release.

Sitting in Kyovashad and all the sudden my computer turns into a jet and sounds like it too, fans going the speed of sound.

Etc etc.

Surely I’m not the only one.

Go to the gear cog next to the play button in the app. In here, go to game settings. In there, check the box “Additional command line arguments” and in the box add:

-disableds

Then hit done.

Then try again.

No more need for -disableds, patch 1.32 updated the dstorage components to v1.22. He is probably having the RAM issue, and running 16GB system.

Or with the sudden ramping of his fans, he could have had a GPU driver component crash.

i have same problem.They broke the game since 2 season and they still didnt fix this problem. Its seems that problem is very deep and they dont want to spend time on it.Not profitable.there is even topic from june with this problem lmao

Game freezes for long periods when opening menus and performing certain actions

My patience is wearing thin with Diablo 4 and its incessant freezing when attempting to open menus and performing certain actions, such as fast travel. The freezes apply to specific menu items. For example, the game does not typically freeze when opening the inventory, or the map. They will always occur after logging into the game for the first time. This is not true. I still get longer loading and freezing when dstorage DLL is loaded. I had to rename it again even with the newer DLL version after the patch.

If DirectStorage isn’t working well on your system, then just use the CLI command -disableds instead of renaming files, in the Game Settings portion for D4 in the BNet client. The renamed files will get periodically restored, whereas the CLI command will always work.

An update, Every problem I listed eventually went away. Not sure why as I did not change anything.

Except the 1 problem of talking to the blacksmith making my computer fans go 10000 miles per hour.
