People just yapping

Like blizz made the game a bit harder, and every casual 1h per month dad is upset and crying, like go play candy crush if its so “hard” or “takes to much time”. Now i don’t say its perfect, there’s still things they can tune, but i genuinely think its a right step. I think we can all, if not, at least the majority agree that the s7 grinding was way tooo fast. (also this is d4, not d3, so if u want speed go to d3)

I realy don’t envy blizz on this. I am the last one trying to defend Blizz but statements like yours now are just pointless and distract from the actual issues.

Why all the bashing about gamer dads or (casuals). As if those people excessivly go to the forum or discord or reddit to complain abou the game beeing to hard. They do not care they just wanna smosh some demons. Those people that complain now that stuff gets a bit harder are the “wanna” be blasters. The realy blasters don’t care, they know what they do they can handle the change. But the wanna be blasters fear they cannot go through the game like through warm butter.

Casuals usualy do not complain cause what defines a casual is that he is not taking gaming so serious to the point to go to forums and complain stuff. Casualy also don’t follow “development” as watching campfire and play PTRs. So the “Casuals” probably don’t even know yet the game gets harder.

If you want to be taken seriously you need to stop making ignorant comments like this. YOU think it was too fast in S7. There are plenty who agree and plenty who disagree. Your ego makes you look like a fool.

You like the change, enough said. The game is still broken. Bugs everywhere, duping and RMT unchecked and getting worse. Statistics being manipulated instead of taking a risk on the next great idea. Dragging out the leveling experience and nerfing drops does nothing to fix what really needs it.

For all the fluff D3 gets, it has way better enemy mechanics than D4. You don’t notice it unless you’re pushing extremes, but you never notice the enemies in D4.

Now I’m not here to argue, and as a casual I welcome the difficulty change, but as someone said(I don’t remember if it was a content creator or someone here), it realy doesn’t matter how slow or fast, hard or easy to progress, if it’s just not fun and there is no real endgame content that hooks you to want to play more.

Rubbish - I’m a casual gamer dad and I do all those things - and I hate what blizz are doing this season, not just because they making it slower or ‘harder’ - but because all they are doing is stretching out already thin content so it takes longer and is less rewarding - and that’s just a cheap trick to meet their metrics.

then you are not a casual :person_shrugging:

The misunderstanding of people in regards to the term casual is almost as serious as that of the term EARLY ACCESS.

Who cares……just kill some demons and move on the game will still be easy I bet my left nut on it…

This is true, those of us on the forums are a mix of ‘engaged casuals’ to hardcore enthusiasts. Please note the use of casual here is just referring to time spent in the game on a daily or weekly basis. Where we’re invested enough in the game to voice our opinions and talk shop with our fellow gamers.

I would say none of us here are ‘casual’ in the sense that we don’t take the game seriously to a degree. We wouldn’t be talking about it otherwise, we would just play the game, ignore everything else, and stop playing if we just didn’t care for it.

Now I think a casual can be brought to leave a review, good or bad, depending on how much they liked or hated the game, but beyond that you’d probably never see them again.

I like the changes but still think they should have adjusted the difficulty once they actually balanced classes and builds.

There are multiple builds which need gg gear to roll t4, while we have half finished builds facerolling 100. And this is S7.

S8 will even more encourage copypaste S tier builds because the former mentioned onces won’t have a chance in t4 - I’m talking about specific skills, not undergeared builds.

Um, I consider myself a “casual” and spend more time than many more “hard core” players in the game…

I do complain as a “casual”. No, I don’t complain about changes to S8, no I don’t care if I set foot in T4… But I complain about the convoluted way Blizz thinks players need to play a class; I complain aspects specific to “play my way” are impossible to find…

But just so we know the stakes, what happened to the right one? Did you lose it in a previous bet or not?

@OP, people yap because this is the real end game euphemistically called the forum, realistically called the entire world.

Think about all the posts you read where the opinions are dogmatic and emotional dialed up to 11, but have no basis in reality because they don’t even play PTR to get basic information such as boss material drop rates and costs to open chests. And generally the higher the post count well…means they aren’t actually playing the game right? I myself included and guilty.

What continues to surprise me the most is that rather than fine tuning towards a goal, the pendulum continues to swing wildly the other direction because they set a completely new and completely different goal. But this does make sense in the context that there are different teams every season without an actual strong product lead with a vision of what the product should be.

To be honest, those are two very different things.

Something that is hard usually takes time, but something that usually takes time is not necessarily hard.

The big difference is that something Hard can be overcome with skill, while something that takes time requires no skill.

No Diablo game is hard. You just have to invest the time, and you’ll have a build capable of killing everything with a single button.

Diablo 3 is the least time-consuming of all, but at the same time, it’s the only one that allows you to overcome challenges with skill alone. In other words, despite being considered the easiest, it’s the only one that can be truly hard.

I consider myself a vegan and i spend more time eating meat then any other “carnivores” out there…

The only person yapping and crying is you …just saying

Hey Iggi - I tested out Bloodwave Necro, and reports of his demise are greatly exaggerated.

I was able to do a 92 Pit at Paragon 215 with no Mythics and a mix of 1/2 GA gear and a 3 GA piece. Glyphs are mid-50’s. I literally just copied over my Seasonal and didn’t assign new Paragon or change out gear from Eternal. No S7 powers ofc, and I didn’t put any S8 boss powers. As you can see, tons of room for improvement.

It is very much slower, with elites taking 4-5 casts of Bloodwave. However, Necro is still quite tanky. The only reason I can’t really push higher is the timer, but I might be able to sneak another level or two with fishing. Bloodwave crit/OP in the 5 billion - 8 billion range with full buffs (4 seconds of curse, etc).

The Pit bosses were solid HP sponges starting at about 75. You need TONS of time to kill them, and lots of focus to dodge those hits and prevent the debuff stacks. That’s going to stop many players, since it’s a massive player skill check. Even if I were to double my damage, it would still be painful with fights taking 5+ minutes.

I feel like 92 is a solid win, however.

92 is more than enough for anything I would do honestly, hell 75 would be perfect for me as well. Currently on live I hit 110 I want to say, but I haven’t attempted further, and even that attempt was smooth, albeit a bit slower, similar to your 4-5 casts of bloodwave. I have no mythics either. I’m rather surprised by this to be honest. Now I think current Bloodwave can get upwards of 120 maybe even higher on live at the moment?

So being reduced to 92, with all the nerfs to it, and the increase is difficulty I see as a win for that build. Will it be the best build for necros going into S8? Probably not, but it’s good to know, at least right now, it’s viable.

Mine’s done 132 on live. 150 is easily workable on live. My goal this season to finish out 150 - even if I have to pack my bags and go on a fishing expedition. I still need Mythics though, and to finish out some Witch Gems. A better Kessime’s would help too. I have a 1 GA, which landed on Ult Damage. It’s not bad, but I’d like a 2/3 GA and hit that Double Damage% with a GA.

Oh yeah, definitely “viable”. But I’m sure forum posters will declare it B-tier or somesuch nonsense because it can’t do 150, lol

If you enjoy Bloodwave, it’s definitely there in S8/PTR.

Oh, and the 200% cap is to the bonus damage from Damage While Healthy and Damage While Fortified. The cap chunked my base Bloodwave sheet damage down to 2m (PTR) from 3.2m (Live).

Yeah, it’s me. I’ve been yapping more lately because I really like this game and want a lot of people to play it so it brings in enough money for them to keep it going awhile.

You want to know what will shut us up an unscaled arena give us a queue. What was advertised in d3 or what immortal has without its pattented algorythm thats puts noobs against whales to get them to spend money lol. Just give us wow 2v2 arena…
