Im now level 89 on my rouge, playing twisted blades. I have not seen Penitent Greaves drop once on 89 levels. I have gotten many other uniques for other builds, but the greaves have exuded me. Blizzard what is going on? Matter of fact havent seen but a few rogues with them.
On my druid, before season 1, they dropped for me at least 1 a week. Has the drop rate been nerfed? 89 levels none…
Necromancer. I get them at least every other day. But they are not that great unless you care about cold/chill dmg? Because other boots have high movement speed too…
I have a level 100 rogue on eternal, and a level 90 rogue for season 1. I haven’t gotten them on either account and both builds are twisting blades. I’ve gotten multiples of every other unique, and even picked up 2 frostburn gloves today at the end of a NM dungeon…but no boots.
My friend recommended trying a different class, so I’m playing Barbarian now. Maybe I’ll get the boots with my barb, who knows.
Have level 82 twisting blades rogue. Got 2 pairs of those, 1 sacred which I got back in WT3 and 1 ancestral. It’s simply random.
4 pairs all from NM dungeons. 3 of the 4 dropped at the NM boss. Maybe that might help you find a pair? lvl 85 currently
I finally got the Boots on my Barb character! I had to play a different class to get them lol.

i found penitent greaves on my sorc while leveling (lvl 45 req) but still cant find a razorplate for my thorns barb that is lvl 90. i havent gotten the first razorplate this season. i have a tab full of uniques except for that one.
Yup, they are definitely nerfed for the classes the use/need them. Got 5 penitent greaves in Eternal on my Druid. Only 1 so far on my Rogue in S1. Build defining uniques are definitely nerfed in their drop rates for their relevant classes. Pretty lousy behavior on Blizzard’s part, imo.
RNG is strange. Pre-season I ran a sorc and rogue builds and actually wanted them to drop. Never got one in the eternal realm. In Season 1, I am running a druid, and have had 10 of them drop. No use for them as a druid, but I guess I will have them for eternal after the season.

Level 87 Rogue in Season 1, got everything else but them. I just can not understand - it is more like a Nightmare item and maybe i should be farming Tier 3 instead? I’m totally ok with random, but 87 levels without a single one, c’mon!
Just to clarify - I don’t need lvl 85 monsters to get it?
