We have had long enough to know how the game runs in “Windowed Full Screen”. Can we have Full Screen option back. If it crashed more on someone’s system, they should know how to go back to windowed full screen by now.
You’ll have to talk to Microsoft. Fullscreen exclusive mode just isn’t a thing anymore. Windows 11 already does what exclusive mode used to do. Your game gets higher processing priority.
at this point i think they should fake it just to calm down those guys that dont get that times changed.
make it “fake” hang on a blakcscreen and lock cursor in. say nothing about it

Yes, but the older Exclusive full screen is gone.
So if you are running multiple monitors, you need to enable “Lock mouse to window” to keep the mouse from leaving the screen while you are playing for one thing.
And others have insinuated that the game doesn’t play as well without that mode. But it was apparently removed due to requirements for DX12.
And it was why the game had some issues alt-tabbing out of that mode during the initial Beta testing.
Hmm I never realized that some games do run better that way and I would expect the option to be there. That’s kind of dumb.
I like it when I have something open on the other monitor that I don’t need to alt + tab out. I have had issues though where I’ve clicked on the other screen in combat.
If I had to guess, alt+tabbing is why Microsoft got rid of it.
Probably because it was more difficult to solve the inconsistencies it causes when used than to simply prevent the use of it at all.
Honestly, I have not noticed that much of an issue with most games in general, and I often choose Windowed full screen over exclusive personally myself, and have been for years.
You’d have to be playing on a toaster to get a performance boost from exclusive mode anyway.
WINDOWS did not get rid of it. BLIZZARD DID!!!
The first beta had full screen and all the graphics options were not greyed out. At the start of Server Slam, Full Screen was available. Due to Complaints, they took it out, and have not re-enabled it. FPS is crap on windowed full screen, and the black level is not the same as the options in-game adjust the monitor to. I want my game to look one way, and when I close my game, my windows looks another. I don’t want to constantly have to redo my settings just to make one game work. Nvidia control panel has the option for Application controlled for a reason.

I may add that you can’t change the resolution of the game if you’re not on exclusive fullscreen mode, which is a problem when playing on some older garphics card and a high-res screen (by example a laptop).
