When I hold shift to attack in place then release shift the player gets stuck attacking in place. Most times the player continues to move after releasing shift, it’s very inconsistent and is one of the things that makes melee combat clunky. Either have it one way or the other. This is a easily noticeable bug that you find within playing the game for fifteen minutes, how was this not noticed by testers or fixed before launch?
I have talked to a few others with the same issues so its not just me.
Other bugs that make combat clunky:
-Using my secondary skill with mouse button 2, skill activates twice in a row 5/10 times.
-Sometimes pressing a key for a skill does nothing at all? There are even times where I have to press it more than twice. This happens every five to ten minutes, sometimes more often… Again, why wasn’t something like this fixed before launch?
-Sometimes I’ll be attacking an enemy and my character will just stop for no reason.
-More rare but sometimes pressing one skill activates another.
I would love the game so much more if melee combat didn’t feel so clunky.
Seems all of the focus was put into controller support, I have heard playing with controller is very smooth but I will never play with controller. I just prefer keyboard and mouse. Not sure who tested these controls before release, it seems nobody did.
Also, for the love of god fix the skeleton animations. They were broken pre launch and they are still broken. One of the first enemies you fight and one of the most obvious bugs, just looks bad and breaks immersion. Every other enemy in the game is animated flawlessly but the skeletons look like laggy claymation.
I’m down to pay 100 bucks for a game but basic controls should at least work at launch.
Thanks
