Pc keeps keeps shutting off

hey,

i can play the game for about 30 min before my pc completely shuts down, and the fans start spinning like crazy.
have a i7-5930k, 32gb of ram, rtx3080 (msi)
drivers are up-to-date even tried lowering settings wih no luck.
i did not hgave this problem with the beta.

At least you had a chance to play. Bought Ultimate Edition and cannot even have early access. Tried resetting region, re-installing battlenet nada.

Doe your PC appear to be over heating? I use HWmonitor to check my temps. I had this issue years ago on the game cities. If you are over heating, try blowing the dust out and if that does not work, you might need to upgrade your cooling.

Sounds like your system is overheating.

Check your temps m8, that sounds like your CPU or GPU are overheating and shutting the PC down.

the game gets bored real quick, even on higher difficulty you just basically doing the same thing over and over again

run NZXT cam and check your temps. IF you PC just shutting down probably due to high temps and then fail safe is triggering. Try dusting / cleaning your fans or filters if they have it.

i thaught this aszwel, but had it open and seems to stay at around 75 degree, wich is nophing to weird

Irrelevant to the topic at hand.

thanks will give it a shot

Hmmm, if the temps are normal, then maybe it’s best you try to reinstall the game?

Somewhat related question, is it possible that if i play D4 and internet site open (chrome)
my pc reboots, does chrome need that much processing power?

I noticed this with more games

had same issue couple months ago, tested ram, stressed test GPU CPU, tested power supply. Come to find out had issue with multiple sticks in mobo. Changed mobo no issues now.

Not a problem. Is this only happening with D4? I would definitely start at looking at NZXT cam first and keep a close eye on the CPU temp. I see you have mentioned its around 75c which is nothing to alarming. But once you start talking over 80c to 90c then you’ll be running the risk of it turning off.

Is your system liquid cooled buy an all in one cooler or just standard heatsink / fan setup?

something is over heating. stop turning it back on and repeating the same actions before you burn it out.

Find out whats over heating, if you dont have the capacity to do so, seek out a ‘professional’ to help.

Depending on whats over heating, and why, it may be ‘fixable’ but likely will require a new part of some sort.

Those of you with more powerful cards that are having this issue.

For now, open your nvidia control panel.

  • Go to 3D settings.
  • Go to Maximum Frame Rate. (on laptops you have an additional option to enable this feature)
  • Set it to match the FPS of your monitor. On mine for now I just set this to 150. (we can change it later)
  • Save changes.
  • Go into Diablo IV.
  • Go to Options.
  • Under Video options, set an FPS cap of 60 (for now).

Save and run the game, see if its still causing you issues. Run a hardware temp monitor and see how your temps are doing.

If its running cool, you can then increase the cap a bit at a time. Mine is currently capped at 144 (my FPS limit on my monitor)

I’m running an RTX 3070 Ti though. But my temps have been staying at or near 170F at the hotspot.

Anyway. Try those things.

I think you are having a different issue.

my bad I thought this was my thread. I replied to the wrong thread.

Temperature. If try already everything then maybe try this : remove the cpu cooler and replace the paste. Clean also the cpu fan. Reassemble.

Do not attempt self repair yourself unless you know what you are doing. If you dont correctly re attach or remove it can be damaged, also, if you apply the paste incorrectly or use the wrong kind you can ruin your equipment.

Always have a professional do the work for you, never experiment with repairs on your main pc.
