anyone else feel like these patches are very small (in what they fix). Anyone else think that’s because they also released a major WoW expansion within a month, but since we don’t pay monthly we aren’t a priority? if it is… dear blizzard, can you not do major expansions of both games within the same month, maybe even year. I’ll be honest, if it meant better maintenance I might consider a subscription… I’m not certain it would though.
No they just save the big changes for the midseason patch has nothing to do with wow
They are bug fixes and stability patches. They push them out when they are ready to fix things not to add new features.
They have added plenty to the game since launch. When I started playing there were no boss ladders, no pits, no hordes, hell tides were useless, itemization was terrible, getting an Uber was not really possible. Maybe a handful of people in the world had one. The lost of uniques was way shorter and they were less powerful. It really is a different game than it used to be.
who’s talking about new features? I’m talking about fixes. Lot’s of things annoying me. Ok, one thing annoying me, but it seems like lots of things annoying people, and the fix list is SHORT.
You do realize there’s separate teams dedicated to both games that have nothing to do with each other right? That would be like complaining that Lamborghini doesn’t update their cars as fast as their tractors, because more people are spending money on their tractors.
It has nothing to do with importance and everything to do with finding the problems people come across. However when you have people who complain about crashing, freezing, lag, etc. but quite literally give no additional information other than that, it’s going to be hard to pinpoint the problems.
It would be like your parents asking you for help with their computer, but all they tell you is it’s slow, crashes, and when they open up a website it does something ‘weird’ but it’s ok after 15 minutes of waiting. This is all over the phone mind you, you’re not physically there.
Now they could be a little more descriptive in the patch notes other than to say ‘Stability improvements’, but quite honestly 99% of the player base won’t understand they fixed Y which was affecting X, then H was affected by that, but now Z is showing up again. It would just be gibberish to the average player.
Ok that wasn’t very clear. But what I started with still stands. The push out the priority fixes when they have them instead of waiting for all the fixes. Priority is usually something that actually degrades performance and not just something that’s annoying.
For example I switched to a mighty throw build on my barb. The temper that gives chance for double damage doesn’t work. That’s annoying but it’s not going to make the game crash so it’s not a priority. Mid season patch, which I’m guessing will hit the Tuesday after the 12th will probably have a big fix list the length of your arm.
I just want my transmog problem fixed, rumour has it was fixed once and regressed. A lot of this performance stuff I’ve seen rumours that it’s actually nvidia’s video driver. I haven’t experienced what I’d call performance issues that aren’t caused by this computer being a midgrade about 8 years ago.
oh, and it really doesn’t help good bug reports when we can’t attach screenshots or videos or even provide links to them.
You can use the pre formatted text option to give links like this:
www.google.com
Just as an example mind you.
yeah, that’s just treating it like code, it’s not a real link. still for some reason treating it as code is oddly not something that had occurred to me. I just did imgur dot com /whatever/it/is can’t complain about bad bug reports if they make it hard to provide the information though.
I have a feeling you’re headed for some bitter disappointment.
Did they fix anything? I haven’t noticed a difference.
Yea sadly you need Trust level 3 as a forum user to be able to link stuff. Kind of sucks I’ll admit, especially when you’re trying to show useful information for things.
Even more strange you can link whatever you want from Blizzard on here without a problem, it’s when you try to link things outside of Blizzard where it becomes an issue for example:
Anyone can link that, but not everyone can link:
That’s untrue cause I don’t have any issues with the game they I feel need to be specifically addressed with the midseason patch and would be fine if they made no changes to anything til season 7 also your post has 0 relevance to my answer to op’s post
yeah, it’s good software for a forum… it’s awful software for bug reporting.
