Patches and Hotfixes

The standing pattern for the game has been patches that are not tested fully to be followed up by hotfixes to fix things. At what point will Blizzard finally have real players test things that they are preparing to release? Devs code games not test them. Blizzard needs to have the people that try the crazy things that generate exploits test the game. That is the only way that we are going to see decent testing before patches and hotfixes. A lot of the patches are for things that should have been caught in QA. How did no one notice that the glyph XP was not being applied correctly? How did no one do the math and figure out that there was not enough time between now and the end of the season to realistically level the new glyph to close to max? These kind of mistakes are not the things that you used to see with games. These mistakes are things that usually happen with new companies and not established companies. When will Blizzard take the game as serious as the players?

Probably never. We will be the testers for a long time.

When I apply for a new job next year, I can say I had been a QA for Blizzard for a year now while also doing my other job. It’s gonna look good on my resume.

I’ll take a few extra bugs for faster turnaround and more agile development.

AoZ changes is a great example of this. They put it out, got feedback, 3 days later we get changes.

Funny season but…

  • I think Sigil Powder is an obstacle that pushes players away from Diablo 4. Maybe you could just give the player a charm key as a level certificate when they complete a specific TIER, then they can use it to open the portal to higher levels.
  • One thing that I really hate about Diablo 4 is “Replacing Affixes”, I have a lot of materials for this but not enough money for this. This will prevent players from quickly building their gear. Imagine the amount of money you would need after 70+ unsuccessful attempts like my situation…WHAT !!!

why are you rolling 70 times on a piece of gear? when it gets to expensive brick it and try again on a new piece. you bankrupted yourself. also sigil powder is fine. you get rewarded with more than you spend as long as you clear the dungeon. if you keep dying stop. go back to a level you are comfortable with and level the tears of blood glyph till you can proceed

Because that item is really perfect for me except 1 line, but so bad luck in rolling…And I couldn’t find another item to replace it. :disappointed_relieved:
