Patch notes - All the changes we haven't asked for

literally get one-shot killed now even with lower level enemies. The butcher being unstoppable was hard enough to defeat prior to the nerf and now is impossible. This patch is making the game unplayable and less fun. I am seriously considering ditching it and going back to D3

its not just that. how insanely out of touch they are with this patch shows enough. it had so much potential. this company is just beyond help. what a trash. NEVER AGAIN!

“Do you guys not have phones… wait wait… that’s not right… do you guys not have 168 hours in a week to die constantly because of decreased armor and damage reduction, kill monsters that give far less XP, farm 250 cinders for a chest that actually drops loot somewhat worthy of picking up, and re-roll stats so many times it costs almost billions to get the right stat?”

Looks like the Diablo 4 team is using that 40% nerf to vulnerable against us.

not wasting my time at all LOL
i just play this game whenever i have time to kill.

why not just wait it out and see what dev has to say this Friday?
I get that a lot of people are frustrated, but let’s see what “updates” we’re going to get.

check your paragon nodes!! since the nerf to stat rolls on gear I lost enough stats to put some paragon nodes under the minimum!! ridiculous

Just when I was having hope for diablo 4 they go and do something like this, its just sad how disconnected Blizzard is from ALL of their gaming communities. Can’t look forward to patches from them like other gaming companies that actually care about the people shoveling them money

If those patch notes were printed on paper, the paper would be much more valuable than this mess.

Ugh. Seriously? I had not thought about this. Checking my main now.

So my nm progression has dropped significantly, as there is no longer a viable crit heal for flurry rogue and massive dps drop. As most my gear has vuln or crit. Damage reduction decrease and cd increases hurt as well. They killed the furry rogue. Now there is only ranged rogue options. Not worth the grind for new gear. Im out.

This patch seems to be addressing a lot of unexpected challenges from a small percentage of players. This patch is almost all things that the developers didn’t intend, that were being exploited amongst a small amount of very dedicated gamers and streamers. Unfortunately, all of the changes have impacted the more casual players the worst. I assume some of these changes were due to hardcore players as well, but have avoided the HC experience until character loss from disconnects had been addressed. Diablo is a more in depth game for players to understand. Requiring more time spent in game to understand the mechanics, even with build guides, sweeping changes like this put a lot of average and casual players behind again and causes confusion, not more fun.

I appreciate the bug fixes and I understand that making changes to things that were designed as they are, have a difficult time taking priority. Season 1 was already in the works prior to launch, so moving team members from future changes to address the items that weren’t planned for appears to be a challenge. With the team being focused on season 1 at launch, it made addressing the launch challenges impossible to address timely. Are we at least going to have the team addressing the challenges with season 1 before they move on this time?

  • Leveling over 75/80 has been painfully slow before and there seemed to be little to do after getting to tier iv. Run the same dungeons over and over and over until you get to 100. Nothing new to do, just continue grinding the same content to reach level 100, so you can continue to do the same dungeons but harder.

  • Inventory space is STILL a major challenge so instead of giving you better rewards for accomplishments, we will give you more gold and loot to leave laying on the floor of the dungeon when I’m done

  • Grinding cinders in the Helltides as a casual player before, I could grab one or maybe two mystery chests during the Helltides. After 30 minutes of playing after the patch, I had 80 cinders so Helltide farming appears to be out (Known bug apparently)

  • The fix to the Freezing locks from some elites may have gotten worse. I have had this same bug in the first two NM dungeons I’ve run already this morning.

  • Running dungeons for Tree of Whispers may have more impact at lower levels, but was not even noticeable at level 89 that I even GAINED any exp from the work

  • Then we get to the list of nerfs and I think, Didn’t they specifically tell us in the last live streams that the last round of nerfs was to get them to the new baseline and they didn’t want to keep nerfing.

Gameplay on my existing character feels bad to play now. Dying more doesn’t make the game feel fun, as the gear has so much less survivability value. Experience gains feel more unobtainable, but it was replaced by more stuff I don’t need or have room for. I’ll try starting a new character with the season I guess, but the excitement for the season definitely doesn’t feel the same as it did before the patch.

I want to love and support this game. Please help!

Good job blizzard you made me stop playing faster than you did with Diablo 3, I can’t even stay alive or kill things after the patch. I’m asking for a refund not going to waste my time with this company anymore.

We have not asked about a refund, think we will get that?

WTG Kotick, you blew up another company. Well, in truth that was all Blizz who bowed out and took the cash.

You know what, i can deal with the Vulnerable and crit nerf, i can deal with the lower damage overall and lower exp…

But who the f thought that lowering defenses was a good idea. People were already getting one shotted and now its even worse. And im not talking about crazy over leveled content, im talking NM at current level. Its really frustrating to be honest.

When the captain sucks and the sailors suck, fate is certain
it’s shipwreck. Only a “genius” thinks that people will create a seasonal character and have the patience to wait 2 weeks to reach the maximum lvl because the blizzard genies nerfed the experience bonus to buy time to create horses, accessories and clothes to sell in the mall , if it wasn’t sad it would be hilarious, they think real Diablo players care about this, unfortunately I believe soon RIP D4.

Clans still capped at 150, no indication of inactive members to prune them. We had more in Diablo 3…where is the QOL instead of just being reamed?

Agreed. Before patch, my ww barb was pretty dang awesome at surviving some pretty rough stuff, but occasionally that little spark of red lightning or offshoot flame from an exploding monster (don’t get me started on that b.s.) would catch me balls on fire. Instadeath to something like that BEFORE patch sucked, but it’s going to be WAY MORE frustrating and frequent after patch.

I never tought that day will come,

I play diablo since the first release, Blizzard wasnt perfect and always support them trough the years but this patch…

Why not buffing ? i had so much good time with people in the clan because we were feeling feeling OP this it the goal no ? keys 45-55 by the way not the 100

No one want to play season 1 anymore

I’m not leaving but it’s frustrating for an HOTA that works so hard for his gear to have been nerfed that way and have to spend a day to undertand what is happening on his character

It’s noit World of Warcraft
