Patch notes - All the changes we haven't asked for

Hahaha, yeah… :pensive: (need to add text tba to post)

Says the person whining about the whiners.

Grow a spine, you’re pathetic

It’s the season of the “Dead and Poor”. High risk and less rewards. :sunglasses:

Quick question I wonder if some of the nerfs are due to malignant hearts? Are they going to make up for the nerfs in S1? And if so will things be reverted back to Eternal realm if the MH do not carry over after season ends?

The whole list is up on sites like maxroll.gg and others, go take a look. Nothing to get excited about

I just wanted a larger inventory and a sell all button the same setup at the blacksmith to salvage all.

Just wondering if anyone else gets item drops above lvl 80? Since patch all my drops are ether lvl 60 or lvl 80. I’m 91 so why the heck are all my drops ether 80 or 60?

Playing a non meta necro build (no bone skills besides prison), the vuln and crit nerf is very annoying, vulnerability did NOT need to be reduced by 40%, the increased shadow dot offsets this a bit but really limits the upper cap of damage for me and my gear still barely buffed crit or vulnerablity damage. The armor reduction changes are awful too, takes all the fun out of pushing higher level nightmare dungeons. I only play d4 solo so the xp nerfs just add even more hurt to this. Feels like my lvl 90 character has taken several steps back in terms of fun. I don’t care much about season 1 rn, I still want to level this character to 100, none of the potential season 1 mechanics that could alienate this loss of damage will help with that. If the end goal of this game is to push level 100 nightmare dungeons 50 levels above the cap, how is nerfing armor and damage going to help anyone? Helltides have been ruined after this latest patch too, I have no problem with upping the mystery chest cost, but also lowering the cinder drop rate is another kick in the teeth. Helltides where way more fun than nightmare dungeons and now they aren’t worth touching with a 10 foot pole. It feels like now we’re forced to play meta builds now just to get back what was lost in terms of damage or survivability. If Blizzard doesn’t fix this in a reasonable time frame, I’m not coming back.

This convinces me that Blizzard is only targeting a small percentage of players that spend all their time gaming, while the other 98% of us are probably like “so i never get to see the game i paid for”. I restarted a character, granted, but i’m only at lvl 66 and haved played multiple hours every day. Just found some replacement swords for my Rogue last night and by today they have the wrong stats due to this patch. Basically having to start over again looking for the right gear. Kind of makes me not want to play anymore. Give my two cents from a casual Diablo player.

Developers just want you to play longer, get less XP, suffer more, get less rewards and think that you’re not done with the game…

THIS is their solution to the lack of content and endgame. Nerf everything so that it doesn’t “feel” empty, so that there is still a challenge.

No thanks. This update is so dissrespectful towards us and the time we have invested into the game, that is disgusting.

I had hope for this game, but that’s it. I can’t even trust the developers anymore.
Won’t be playing Diablo 4 ever again. That’s enough sh!t.

Didn’t you know, we were paying to be beta testers this whole time! now to go back to the 1-50 tutorial.

I literally explained that in the post you replied to. 75/125/150 = a POSSIBLE legendary, 175 = at least two GUARANTEED legendarys. The new cost is more inline with what it should be. Blame the cherry pickers for farming them and making it obvious they needed to cost more.

I never said anything about your play experience or fun level. Surely if you enjoy Helltides so much, then farming some extra cinders for guaranteed drops shouldn’t be an issue.

Welcome to D4, unfortunately.

All the people here bootlicking Blizzard probably eat off brand Oreos too

So while I am willing to take a wait and see approach, just the notes them selves feel so completely out of touch.

With everything coming this is not a good time to drop the ball as hard as you are blizzard.

We asked:
We asked for nerfs to reduce class disparity and abuse of multiplicative modifiers.

Blizzard response:
Lets keep multiplicative modifiers, reduce their strength, buff slightly additive modifiers.

The actual result:
Class disparity increased as now classes that relied on multiplicative modifiers to be viable are not viable anymore, and the classes that abused the system continue to beat content with no issues.

Also, no PTR for balance changes? really? more than 20 years in online multiplayer game development and yet Blizzard haven’t learned?

I’m deeply sad to have invested money into this game, it feels like the “investment” went down the pipe and I never saw it’s dividends.

Way too true, this update basically Shelled out any hope of playing ‘non-meta’ builds, just because the meta is too strong?
Blizzard exp nerfs to stretch people playing out for the seasons so the undead players don’t hit 100 within 3 days or so aswell. Huge punishment to people only picking up the game for a few hours here and there, and the level scaling rework seems to make it slower ontop of that.

WT4: base scale (PC level pre-75) = mobs level 75
if PC level 76-80 = mob level 75
IF PC level 81 = mob level 76.
if PC level 82+ = mob level scales from 77+ (always 5 levels under PC)
So there is no more fighting mobs the same or higher levels OUTSIDE of helltide, which got buffed to being +3 levels over the PC, while the exp formula has been nerfed aswell (was 25% bonus for +3, now 15%).

yes, gravity has been designed

damn, the people around here…

Didnt do too well on your ACTs huh?

casuals are gonna burn out so quickly. they can’t endure that every 3 months.

Also on the same boat,

We asked:
No more boosting, no more exploiting multiplayer XP.

Blizzard response:
Reduce XP granted for boosted characters. Also reduced XP for over level content.

Actual result:
Boosting will still happen at +10 levels difference, mid to endgame content ruined as there’s no incentive to farm higher level NM dungeons AND open world content is always lacking behind.
