Should be yep!

Correct me if I’m wrong.

It is not pre-download, there will be a patch tomorrow, but there are features that are activated with the start of the season.

That is, tomorrow have the changes and fixes and on Thursday the start of the season the rest would be activated.

that sounds about right.

However i cant believe there is no PTR :stuck_out_tongue: i mean a seasonal game without PTR and the chance to checkout buff, nerfs and theorycraft the next best build for yourself. Seriously?

What time CET will be the patch live?

Europe: 7pm CET (July 20)

Im predicting:

Barb and Druid get their fortify gen spread out. Same overall amount, just gotta work for it a bit more than Right-Click-To-Live.

Necro fortify access increased -OR- removed & replaced with Barrier gen. Gotta be tied to something that isnt super-exclusive to a single build for accessibility.

Sorc given a Barrier gen option as well. Same story as Necros.

Rogues given a Fortify gen tied to a melee Key Passive. Momentum most likely. Barrier on Precision consumption maybe?

Ranged monster scaling at higher sigil tiers toned back slightly. Wraiths in particular are oneshot machines above the 40s and are bullet sponges at the same time.

Bone Ballista monsters have their AI targeting reduced so they arent offscreening people from Madagascar.

Item affix changing/combining.

Uniques become Enchantable at 2x or 3x a Rare/Legendary’s cost.

Oh, and for gods sake there better be some kind of nerf to the Suppressor affix.

this would be so cool - but will not happen in our life span - thats for sure

Corpse bow range issues were adressed. Corpse bow was renamed to Corpse Longbow

This is start of the season, right? But the patch should be live Jul 18?

My launcher is already giving me an “live maintenance” notice that will begin in about 3.5 hours, saying that it may cause some servers to exhibit log-in and connection issues.

So I’m guessing patch will be out during that time.

Tomorrow everybody gets nerfed on eternal realms

It’s ashamed, we don’t get patch notes until 2 days before the season. D3, D2R, all get patch notes 1-2 weeks before the season/ladder. Along with every other Blizzard title.

Omg, yes please!

And another, omg yes please!

Agreed. It’s actually ridiculous that we will only have 48 hours to practice/brain storm for new builds (if required). So far the D4 team has been extremely disappointing with their lack of communication and terrible game mechanics.

The actual Patch is the 18th (Pacific Time in California). We will be able to play patch features that day, not just pre download. What we won’t be able to do is start timed content like Season 1. That has a specific start time it is activated on Thursday.

So yes, we will get the Patch Notes when we get the Patch on the 18th. Usually afternoon Blizzard time.

No, that is not when the Patch goes live. That is usually afternoon Pacific Time on the date they told us - July 20th.

Do not mix up the July 18th Patch with Season 1 start.

  • Patch will be the afternoon (Blizzard time) of July 18th. Patch notes will be released then with info on any build changes, legendary items, uniques, etc.

  • Season start will be Thursday July 20th, 10:00 AM Pacific Time,

Corruption has befallen Sanctuary in Season of the Malignant, the first Season of Diablo IV. On July 20 at 10 a.m. PDT, a new Season Journey, Questline, Boss, Dungeons, Battle Pass, and more will go live—we’ll give you a preview below. On July 18, we’ll release another article shedding even more light on what’s coming with the new Season, including 6 new Unique Items and 7 Legendary Aspects.

This would be crazy. Imagine the power rogues would bear on pvp if they could fortify on top of dodge, regen, etc. For high nightmare tiers (80+) it would be nice but for pvp would be broken. Rogues are not that squishy people think they are, but I think they lack dps if going melee on high nightmare tiers to be honest compared to other classes.
