After recent patch (the halloween event) I no longer have in-game music. I triple checked all my settings.

Same for me. Bummer, the music is great.
Me too! And DLSS is gone too. Will stop playing until next patch 
Changing the game language in launcher settings for diablo 4 to german and back fixed it. See also:

Unfortunately this did nothing for me, still sound but no music

No music or DLSS here either. Could be crash related and is disabled perhaps?

Same, music doesn’t work huge buzzkill. They definitely removed DLSS intentionally for now, it was the thing causing the crashes yesterday. I was in-game and it was there in options - I switched it off and stopped crashing even tho my framerate tanked then an hour later the option was gone.

Today again no music. I had to remove english language again from the launcher settings > modify install (and changed it to german) then played, closed, and removed german and changed it to english again. This downloaded the english files and now music works again. It’s possible that this needs to be done every time. I am lucky I have a fast internet connection. For those who do not: it may take a day before you’ll be able to play Diablo with music thanks to these latest improvements. I really enjoy this new launch experience
