Patch 2.5.1 - December 18th

Comes out today.

Typically patches of this nature can come out anywhere between:

2025-12-18T19:00:00Z
and
2025-12-18T23:00:00Z

The above is related to the time zone on the device you are viewing this on.

Two highlights:

  • Fixed an issue where the visual and audio effects for the Essence of Squalor Divine Gift persisted in town.

Developer’s Note: These effects has been disabled entirely.

  • Fixed an issue where Meteors spawned by the Essence of Hellfire could reflect Thorns damage back onto the player.

Finally a fix for the bug with the Herald of Hatred pet.

So it was bugged cus mine would just stand there lol.

pretty quick fix. gg blizzard guy locked in a closet.

Keep in mind this isn’t the balance patch that’ll hit 1-2 weeks from tomorrow. Sorcs could still be nerfed.

Did they fix the “Season Ranks Rewards Available” message that is always displayed even when there are no rewards available?

Could be part of the:

  • Various stability, UI, visual, performance, and audio improvements.

But sadly nothing specific about that bug was mentioned.

Wasn’t just that pet either, I had issues with the other dogs. I switched to the bird as a work around.

i felt like other pets bugged as well until a relog once oyu used the herald of hatred.

a week to fix a game breaking bug isn’t really a great look. I wonder how many hc rips it caused?
