I have a “bit” of an older system but was playing the game fine up until this patch on the 30th. I had just finished a nightmare dungeon that day and when I TP’d back to town the game force closed then the update started. Unsure if that was intended or part of the new bug. Once I attempted to log back in and ever since, I get crashes with Fenris errors. Most of the time it’s just as if the game AltF4s, force closes and I’m back to my desktop, other times I get a BSOD. From what I can tell, the most common crashes occur when I’m in my map moving it to look around at objectives, use one waypoint to travel to another waypoint, TP back to town from inside a dungeon or occasionally even in the character login screen at a less frequent rate. I run everything on low essentially since I’ve first installed the game. Never really had any of these crashes until that June 30th patch.
Processor: Intel(R) Core™ i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz
RAM: 16GB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 (x2)
64bit OS / Windows 10 Pro / 22H2
I have 2 SSDs and 1 HD but the game and my OS are both run off the SSDs.
They are a bit outdated these days I know but a new custom build simply isn’t in my budget atm and I run any other game I’m currently playing fine as well as D4 prior to the patch on the 30th. I think the new fix may have also unintentionally broken something else? I’ve been trying just about any settings change I can at this point and sort of given up. Hoping it’s fixed before S1 but If not hopefully I can just get a refund since the game is no longer playable at this point.
