Hear me out – what if paragon glyphs didn’t just increase their stat (and range) per level making it just feel like a grind to level up, but they ALSO each had individual and customizable skill trees that you got to build and further specialize them, like
Lower tier categories like being able to choose like 2 of the following:
- +range (on top of the built in one at lvl 15)
- +Unlocking a second additional bonus from a second stat in range
- +Bonus % gains per stat
- Changing type of +damage or element
- changing which stat in range it benefitted from
Or you could go really crazy with it and do stuff like adding additional power modifications probably more related to the class or glyph theme, maybe like at lvl 15 and lvl 21, like -
// Territorial Glyph
- Lvl 15 choose btwn additional bonus damage OR damage reduction the longer an enemy remains in close range per second up to 3 seconds.
- Lvl 21 - choose btwn three - after enemies remain in close range for 3 seconds, you immobilize them for 2 secs OR stun them for 1 sec (cannot occur again while remaining in close range) OR periodically taunt close enemies
// Electrocute Glyph
- Lvl 15- choose btwn shock skills have their base lucky hit increased by 10% or shock skills have a 10% chance to cast twice
- Lvl 21 choose btwn - stunning a non-elite enemy under 50% hp with a shock skill has a 20% chance to instantly kill them OR lucky hits from shock skills have a 25% chance to multi-strike 4x against elites and bosses
I don’t know. Maybe those are dumb examples but you get the idea. But also maybe this was a waste of time bc maybe this is already what the Legendary glyphs are already gonna do in Vessel of Hatred… I guess we’ll see
