I have been experiencing almost nonstop connection issues for the past 2 weeks.
It has been constant rubberbanding and unresponsive inputs.
Someone suggested pinging battle.net and I am seeing some significant packet loss through command prompt.
(I can’t figure out how to post pictures or links here, sorry).
I have scoured forums online and cannot find a solution or even an acknowledgement from Blizzard.
I have updated it today with some more things to try and hopefully decent enough explanations on how to run the Ping test.
Keep in mind, you are just looking to see if you are getting any overall loss. For reference, 1-2% loss is enough to disrupt voice and video communication, and some games.
3-5% is enough to cause websites to not work correctly or incompletely download parts of the site.
At 6+ most services can be affected, and over 10% loss will even interfere with video streaming.
That is universally correct. They have so far been silent on the issue. But common sense tells me they would be wise to be looking hard into these issues even if they aren’t updating us.
Of course in my opinion, its a mistake to leave us in the dark about it. Say something, ANYTHING. Silence is actually worse. But they can be afraid of the forum mob so for them its better to say nothing apparently.
