Overcharged vs Runeworker's

With the buff to Runeworker’s, I decided to give it a try in my Stormclaw build over Overcharged. I’m having trouble deciding which is actually better because they both have some pros and cons.

Overcharged
Pros
Pulse is AoE and great for mass clearing when it works
Can proc multiple times off one target with fast enough attack speed once activated for big AoE burst damage
Affects the target you’re attacking

Cons
Damage tends to be a bit lower than Runeworker’s (usually 3k or less, the Codex entry being a weird out of band outlier)
Requires a Lucky Hit, then a second roll for 10-20% chance to proc

Runeworker’s
Pros
Can roll with a large amount of damage after buff (mine has 6,270 base dmg)
Easier to activate with just crits
Multiple crits can extend the aura for up to a minute or more, having it be up constantly
Seems to strike twice per second
Great single target damage

Cons
Lightning Bolts are single target. making it a bit less useful in packs
You can’t choose who it hits
Bolts are occasionally wasted on objects (including explosive ones that can hurt you)

Overall, I think they both are decent and fairly well balanced with each other. Which do you prefer?

I’m level 57, and I’ve only just got myself an Overcharged Aspect. No sign of a Runeworker’s or a Lightning Dancer’s yet. Dozens of Werebear, Werewolf and Earth related aspects though. I wish I could actually try all these Lightning Aspects at some point…
